Well, school has started & I'm back into a routine. Both kids are in new schools (high school freshman & a 6th grader/middle schooler) so that takes some getting used to....add that to a new house....fun times! Ah, add an adopted dog too!

I have to throw this out there: what is with ladies that don't take messages/contact from someone looking for an activity partner, an intimate encounter, hang out, email/talk, long-term, other relationship, dating or friends? Basically, they have a 'profile' they just don't want ANYONE contacting them....WHY?

I am a fun-loving, wise-cracking jokester. I love a good practical joke; even if I am the butt of it! I rarely take life too seriously, but I am a responsible person.

I am a busy, involved father to my kids. I am also an Army Reservist, so my weekends can be busy.

Now, what I am NOT; prince charming, knight in shining armor, cowboy in a white hat on a white horse. The only people who I want to think I am Superman, Mr Wonderful, or anything remotely like that are my children.

I am also looking for someone near Huntsville, AL so all our time isn't spent driving to & fro (or fro & to, depending on who is driving).

I don't have much time to myself, so if having someone at your beck & call is what you need, I might not be a good fit.

I have to opine a little about baggage & drama. Many explicitly state "no drama" or "no baggage". I'm stealing this little gem I read on another's profile "sharing your burden with a friend cuts it in half; sharing your joy with them doubles it" or something like that. What kind of life are you living where you run from drama or refuse to help those with baggage? The driver who swerves to hit the squirrel or the one who stops to let the mama duck & ducklings waddle across the road? Have you ever stopped with your kids to watch a heron pluck a fish from the pond & gulp it down? Stuff that the Discovery Channel shows us but in fact is all around us.

A 'good' first date.... by whose standards?

Most guys would love to go to a game (football, baseball, hockey) or a race (HSV speedway or dragway), pound some beers, drive to her residence, have 'intimate relations' {usually a 5-10 minute drunken comedy of errors}, sleep for a bit, then slink off in the wee small hours....

Me, I like a good football or hockey game (baseball can be dull), a few adult beverages, then toe-curling, window-rattling, neighbor-waking, bed-stripping, mind-blowing, sweaty, messy, breath-taking sex. Then falling asleep to wake up & start all over again. but that's just me, I could be wrong about what a woman wants....
