Hobbies: I've recently got into boating, and saltwater fishing, and I'm liking it.

Goals/aspirations: I'd like to work with the VA, with vets coming back from Iraq & Afghanistan.

What Makes Me Unique: Hmmm...probably my degree of being "professionally service oriented", in terms of my various careers.

My Taste in Music: Mostly contemporary country, occasional 70s-90s rock, blues.

1. "Why dating?" Because there's no "Meeting someone and seeing how things go, and maybe going for long-term, etc" category. Just as the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, the possibility of a real-deal relationship starts with a first meeting, which I call "a date".

2. "Do you really have a master's degree?" Yes...the real-deal, after four-year undergrad degree, graduate school type. I don't spend all my time in jeans & pocket-T shirts, but I'm no metro-sexual, either.

3. "Are you a residential or commercial construction contractor?" Neither...I'd tell ya but I'd have to charge ya (nah, j/k).

4. "You don't smoke, does it bother you I do?" Kinda-sorta, maybe...I quit in 2005, after quite a few years. Would probably depend on how much, how often. If you smoke two packs a day and your voice is deeper than Josh Turner, that would bother me. Heck, if you don't smoke *at all*, and your voice is deeper than Josh Turner's, that would probably bother me.

5. "You say you don't do drugs, what about weed?" I'll pass on getting into the what-is-a-drug debate, but I'm not 420-friendly . I know where you can get help with that, tho...

I added a question some time ago, asking for an explanation of what "Hang Out" signifies.

"Hang Out" Explanations, received so far---from ladies

1. Going out to dinner (sounds like a date to me!)

2. Going out to a movie (sounds like a date, too, tho it wouldn't be my first choice)

3. Sitting on your/my couch, eating pizza and drinking beer (definitely NOT my idea of a *first* date, with someone I've never met before)

4. Drinking till everyone passes out, but not having sex

Anything is game, tho I'd rather not make a first meeting in a noisy, smokey bar...walk downtown somewhere (if it's a downtown that's "walkable"), along a beach, some light dining, or coffee...it's kinda nice to be able to hear each other talk, without going, "Huh? What was that?!?!"

Where's some good, informal sea food in Jax?? Or, a good place to zero a .223?
