I get a kick out of reading some of these profiles on these sites. "I want to be happy", or "I dont want any games". Well, then just be happy... and people always play some sort of games, it's part of being human. It's not like you really "need" anything to be happy. I've been happy for 2 years being alone before. I'd like to share my life with someone fun and who is passionate, romantic and shares the same interests as me, but I'm generally a happy, optimistic person who stays busy as much as possible.
I'm definitely not perfect - I'm a work in progress. Everyone is perfect and imperfect in their own ways though. I'm funny, caring, compassionate, quick-witted, laid back but also driven when I need to be. I'm fiercely loyal to those I love and care about. I'm set in my career and accomplished in many ways. I'm comfortable by myself reading a book but would rather be hosting a party. I'm definitely looking for that one person I click with, but I'm not in any rush to jump into a relationship and feel it should start as a friendship.
I have a list of everything i'd like in a relationship and another person but I'm not judgemental and am very accepting and compassionate of others. It all depends in what clicks and works. A lot depends on if it is the right time and circumstances I suppose. More than anything I just want to meet some new people and have some fun like anyone else.
One thing I want to do very soon is go skydiving. Life is all about experiencing and trying new things, and a dating site is just another avenue for me to meet new people.
First Date
On a first date it really depends on how the first contact went. Normally I'd like to do something casual like have coffee or meet at the beach or a casual place, instead of something more traditional/formal. But it really depends on how communication has gone from there. I like to keep nervousness to a minimum and jokes and laughter to a maximum :) I like putting others at ease and having interesting, fun conversations.
