| | Hmmmm…about myself huh? Well, I guess “skeptical” would come to mind right about now. I’m new to the Internet dating thing and have my doubts, but I guess everyone does…so here’s the Readers’ Digest version of Me: I’m from Long Beach, graduated from UCLA., got into public accounting [why, I’m still not sure] but since I did, I decided I might as well make my life really miserable and took a three-day test in order to officially be known as a nerd [the State calls it a C.P.A.]. The good news is that it pays the bills and I have some left over to do the things in life that makes the journey fun. Some that come to mind are bike riding, working out, scuba diving, martial arts, dining out; and traveling to places with white sand beaches, clear water, and drinks with umbrellas in them. I live on the beach and enjoy it very much. I have Direct T.V. which boasts 500 channels but have found only about 5 worth watching: CNN, the History Channel, TLC, and the occasional HBO flick. [yes, that’s only 4…I’m thinking…] anyway, you get the idea. Yet, I’ll always halt the perennial channel surfing for an episode of the Three Stooges or an old Mohamed Ali fight. [I know, I think it’s a guy thing ;)].
I very much enjoy meeting new people; making new friends, and gaining a fresh prospective on life and the events that shape it. I love So. Cal. and its healthy life style, but could do without the congestion and some of the attitude. I make money to live; not the other way around. I’m not particularly religious but do believe in God. I must, otherwise, I’d be having a lot more fun. My parents are part of the “Greatest Generation” so I’ve had history lessons both in and out of the classroom – WWII, the Depression etc.. And I’m sure like most, I’ve “inherited” a lot of my parents’ values; if that makes me a bit “Old School” - so be it.
I love the smell of coffee in the morning, a child’s smile, English humor, a pepper shaker that works, Thai food, wrestling my dog, sunsets, back rubs, a clever commercial [rare], spooning, the serenity of the ocean, an eloquent speech, the sound of rain, unexpected kindness....That’s Me in a nutshell; drop a line if you’d like the unabridged version. I wish you the best of luck in your search.
Oh, and AMC...that’s five. |
