Here goes: I am not lacking in interests; I enjoy learning new things and picking up new hobbies; I'm kind of bookish; I have always had and will always have pets; I love animals of all kinds (I draw the line at tarantulas, although I would never be mean to them!) and also have an interest in nature (there are quite a few books like these in my bookcase http://www.audubon.org/market/licensed/fieldguides.html); I'm an almost-vegetarian; I'm half-European and speak English and French; I have two Master's degrees and am in a professional line of work.

"Driven," "go-getter" and "focused" would _not_ be good words to describe me. I do _not_ enjoy being constantly on the go and Type-A personalities stress me out. My New Year's resolutions, if I make any, tend to be something like: "go to the beach more often this year"; "learn to say "no" more often" (that one still requires a lot of work); or trying an activity I've been thinking about for years. Not that I don't believe in working hard or don't work hard. I both work hard and believe that I should but there is more to life than just one's career.

Although I do enjoy travelling on the rare occasions that I do go on a trip, travelling is not among my spending priorities and I don't do much of it. Other expenses, such as paying off the remainder of my student loans, come first.

I'm _trying_ to be more physically active (goodness knows I try) but I will never be described as having an "athletic" nature. I'm allergic to gyms: the vibes in those places are just too intense.

My schooling and work have taken me to eight different communities across three different provinces over the past 16 years. While experiencing new places is exciting, it is also tiring and I would like to put down roots now that I have landed an enjoyable, steady job in my field here in Fredericton. I am happy here, have been giving some thought to finally buying a home, and hope to meet someone living in the Fredericton area.
