Hi. I work in human resources at an investment bank in Manhattan. I am at the very end of my masters degree and should have the thesis done this summer. I am anxious to graduate and have it behind me. I work long hours but like the work.

I live in Brooklyn and think it's the greatest borough in the city (although I grew up in the 'burbs). However, I am biased as my roots are here and my family has been from Brooklyn for generations. Actually, my great great grandparents are in the cemetary a block behind my apartment. That might sound a bit creepy but I think its kind of comforting.

I love to ride my bike around the neighborhood. I spend about ten hours a week out on the bike. I have THE coolest bike ever. It's vintage and probably from 1956. It's two toned with fins over the fender (white wall tires!) and the best part is it's designed to be ridden while wearing a skirt which I am almost always in. I hope to really restore the bike this summer.

I used to be an auto damage adjuster before I went back to grad school for my masters. I spent three years under cars measuring bent frame rails and fighting with body shops. Way back in the day in undergrad I worked in an auto parts store hauling truck rotors and exhaust pipes around. I spent my nights out on motorcycles with the neighborhood kids. I definitely used to be a tomboy. Now, I am all grown up and no longer running around in jeans and hoodies but I still love cars and bikes.

As far as dating goes, I am looking for someone who is down-to-earth, kind and has his priorities in order. I'm looking for the boy next door and I know there are still some of those in this city. I am typically attracted to stocky guys- someone I can hug without hurting myself! Hopefully I will meet someone who enjoys experiencing the city whether it's dinner downtown or walking the boardwalk at Coney Island. I love living here. I love the place where I am in life and I hope that I'll meet someone who I can share it with.

I don't really think what we do on the first date matters so much. The best first dates are the ones that we don't take too seriously and just have fun, laugh and be ourselves.
