Hi! My name is Ryan, I'm 23, and i've had about 20 jobs, in addition to finishing high school and college. My interests are anything technical (computers, networking, programming, gadgets, etc.), photography, black and white in particular, math, physics, science in general, i love to learn, almost anything i don't know yet is something i'm interested in.
I'm a pretty big geek, i like video games, rpgs, i love reading, fiction, non fiction, history, technical stuff, books on theoretical physics and so on, indie music/movies, and all of that other geeky stuff listed above. I also love learning about, and trying, new food, drinks etc. I'm fast becoming a scotch/wine/beer, etc aficionado. (I don't drink all the time). I like biking, i just bought a new racing style bike and have been doing a bit of that lately. i capitalize things haphazardly.
I have 2 tattoos, soon to be 4, no piercings yet, but i imagine it's only a matter of time.
what i'm looking for:
someone who has their own opinions.
someone who likes trying new things, and wants to explore life
someone who knows the difference between an argument and a debate
a cute girl with an IQ over 140 :-)
someone who wants to be active, mentally socially and physically. lots to do and discover in ottawa, and i would love someone to do it all with. =)
someone who is an intellectual, which to me, really just means you like collecting knowledge. if you think ignorance is bliss, you need not apply.
First Date
I think the first date always sort of depends on the personality of the person you're with. There's no cut and dry "this is what we do for first dates" kind of date. I think in Ottawa, a great first date would be to wander around downtown and try to discover a great new place neither of us has ever been before. Maybe find somewhere nice to get dinner, maybe just find a few cool spots to hang out for a while. Something to provide some amusement but the kind of things that let the conversation flow. Which is why the movies are usually not a great first date. Maybe for the second date.
I figure the first date is for learning about each others interests and personality.
