Item no.1- one pair of easy hands. well worn and still strong as the day they held my first born. Have tendency to shake but still can hold a loved one close.
Item no.2- a set of matching arms. these babies have embraced the world and held tight. Have offered protection and wave goodbye too many times.
Item no.3- matching blue eyes, not as clear as they use to be, but man what they have seen. still have the ability to look someone in the face and sparkle when excited
Item no.4-over worked heart, has been broken, still a lot of room in it. Must use caution when giving it, because people have tendency to use and discard or not care about its stability. If it was to be loved again would probably function like new
Item no5- two ears. don't hear well at all now. But at one time could pick up the slightness cough or whimper in the bedroom down the hall way. Have mostly been wore out by hearing harsh things. still tingle when nibbled on.
Item no.6- broad shoulders with matching support legs. you just don't find foundations like these anymore. Have carry the burden of the world, family, war, children and now old age. legs especially good shape, if need can still kick the sh*tout of something.
I enjoy a glass of wine with the evening meal ( which I cooked) a ride in the evening or a night on the lake on my pontoon.....just Easy like Sunday morn
I do try to write poetry ..heres a sample
You are like a stone cast upon the water, making my heart skip when your near, Your essence captivates my senses, making each one a slave to you.
The smoothness of your skin, like shifting silky desert sand, eased along by the wind, arousing sensations deep from within.
Your kindness is my sun, your beauty my stars, I will never know loneliness, while they shine from a far.
It is you that makes my day, in every way, that makes sense and whats right, you are my light into the night.
Loves gleam It is the beacon of desire, for the lonely caught in a quagmire. Its rays of light are arms of salvation, reaching to those dying of love starvation.
If I should be so lucky that it would shine on me, my spirit would truly be set free. Should it cast over me, leaving my soul in the dark, so shall it be.
I think my concerns would run along the lines of my date feeling comfortable. A nice restaurant that she is familiar with, perhaps even her suggestion. Or if she feeling more comfortable a ride to the beach just in time to catch sunset and then a dinner at my favorite restaurant there....and a moonlight ride home
