I love Fall.

I'm of spanish, french, and italian descent. I moved to the states from Africa when I was 5 and have no accent. On occasion I go to France to visit family. I've lived in a few different cities on the east coast, and probably had the most fun in philly. Maybe I'll move back some day. I just moved to Centreville from Ithaca, NY (work is in Manassas) and don't know anyone - so I'm primarily looking to meet new friends who like to have fun. Of course, I'm open to other relationships if things go that way.

Here are some specifics: I'm always looking for new and interesting people, and by "people" I mean women. (I didn't think I'd have to define the word "people" here, but apparently I was wrong based on some of the messages I continue to receive. Unreal.) I can get along with anyone, especially if they don't play by conventional rules. The high-maintenance, drama queens have their place - in fact I'm friends with many of these ridiculous women. But we don't work well in more intimate settings.

So what is high maintenance? If you ask for things that aren't on the menu (unless you have real issues - like food allergies), you take 45 minutes to get ready for the grocery store, you use the words 'fabulous' and/or 'amazing' more than once a week, or you waste time deciding if your shoes are a good match with your calves (and you love your stupid fake tan), then you're high maintenance. -- Toughness, sexiness, and goofiness are good attributes. I'm really into clever, quick-witted women with smarts - and am turned on by outrageous spontaneity and sarcasm. Last minute road trip to anywhere? I'm your guy. And if you don't carry any reasonable baggage or you believe my headline, then you're probably boring and a dumbass, respectively.

When I'm not being a dork analyzing and writing stuff (my job) I like to cook, lift weights, visit wineries (though I don't know any here in VA), see live bands, watch MMA, take trips, mix music, and other things. To relax I also like to get my hands dirty and fix things, chop wood, etc. I read like I'm still in grad school - lots of nonfiction. Sorry if that turns you off. Wait, no I'm not.

If I HAD to set a lower age limit, I suppose it would probably be 26 or so. If someone was unusually mature I'd go lower, but I'm usually bored with most younger women and that sucks for everyone. My upper age limit is 150.

OK, here's the part that's the source of most of my hate mail. -- No smokers of any type, please. Not to be a d*** or anything, but please don't write saying, "It doesn't count if it's with beer or once in a while." It genuinely turns me off no matter how attractive you are. Sending me 'hot' pics won't change my mind because I've been this way my entire life, for whatever reason (probably because it makes women give off a disgusting smell even when they're not doing it at that precise moment). Simply find another guy. Sorry if that makes me an ass but it's a deal-breaker with me and I don't want to waste your time.

I hate coffee so we'd have to do the next best thing which is take a walk by a schoolyard and make fun of all the ugly and uncoordinated kids.

I know it's cliche', but going to a place where we can hear each other might be good. I don't want to go to a million bars and do shots with your friends while you text even more of your friends. The creativity and romance will come later (if warranted). I'm not sure about spending a lot of energy on a cool date if there's no real chance, do you? All the 'dates' I've been on in the recent past have blown (in this context, it means they weren't fun). But if we're feeling it, I can promise we'll have a good time.
