When I'm not being a dork analyzing and writing stuff (my job) I like to cook, lift weights, take trips, and mix music. To relax I also like to get my hands dirty and fix things, chop wood, etc. I still read a lot, but mostly nonfiction so many of you will consider that boring. Good.

No smokers of any type, please. Not to be a d*** or anything, but please don't write saying, "It doesn't count if it's with beer or once in a while." It genuinely turns me off no matter how attractive you are. Sending me 'hot' pics won't change my mind because I've been this way my entire life, for whatever reason. Simply find another guy who doesn't mind your smoking. Sorry if that makes me an ass but it's a deal-breaker with me and I don't want to waste your time.

First date? Hmm. All I'd care about is being able to hear each other. I don't want to bar-hop and do shots with all your friends while you text even more of your friends. The romance and creativity will come later if it's warranted. I don't think we should spend a lot of time and energy on a cool date if there's no chance for good chemistry, do you? I don't know. All the 'dates' I seem to find myself on in the past six months have been pretty bad. In all cases I'm glad we didn't do anything big. If it's there, I can promise that we'll have fun.
