UPDATE 9/25/09
These write about yourself excercises are brutal, but here's the attempt to recap myself without coming across as arrogant.

Many on here seem so focused and sure on what they seek - I'm hoping to find someone who goes beyond what I may imagine and that I do the same for her. I know who I am, just have not figured out who she is yet-but looking forward to it. After a 22 year marriage, I am not committment phobic, but for the good of both people in a relationship, it is important to make sure it is right for both. There are many comments on no baggage - if I had come this far with no baggage, I would probably have lived a boring existence...my hope is to keep any now or in the future small enough to fit in the overhead compartment being careful when opening the door as items may shift and come back to hit you on the head! It's not in the baggage, but in the handling of it - some are better at it then others.

If I were to state one thing I seek, it would be peace of mind- when you have that you are satisfied with all aspects of your life - including the importance of a relationship.

I am
Responsible but fun loving....confident not egotistical....masculine not macho.....loyal, passionate, compassionate, thoughtful and considerate. Integrity is of the utmost importance and I truly believe in treating others better then I want to be treated.

I am family oriented. My 4 kids are very active and I love being involved in their lives. They are bright and athletic and I am a proud dad and will always stay close to them and seek someone who enjoys being around good kids, family and friends. One woman wrote me to say that no woman with less then 3 kids would be interested in a man with 4...I believe differently and I'm looking for the person who knows what enjoyment children bring- they don't have to have any themselves, but being a dad is a large part of what defines me and I would not want it any other way.

I work out 3-5 days per week and participate in sports when time permits. I am a physically strong individual and solid, though not a body builder type, I lift weights regularly to stay in shape along with cardio exercise.

I am looking to share quality moments with someone who may start as a friend and become a confidante and partner...being active and at times just hanging around together relaxing and re-energizing. Looking for someone who desires to be a partner in sharing life's pleasures, challenges and experiences-enjoy being together doing whatever. I am not necessarily in a rush to force a relationship, but as the saying goes, you miss 100% of the chances you never take. I do not believe there is necessarliy a 100% match between partners. We grow and experience things when people introduce us to new things. I also believe it is very important to be friends as that is what sustains a relationship.

I travel frequently for work, but have always managed to keep family and friends a priority- I have been fortunate and successful in my career(s). However, I work to make a living, I do not live to work, so I know that balance is important. I have been blessed with and enjoy a nice lifestyle and I'm looking to share the good things in life with someone. I enjoy traveling for pleasure- uncrowded beaches, mountains, NYC, California, etc. Would really like to see more parts of the world and the NW US-including Alaska.
