I'm a midwest transplant, an Illinois girl who loves her Cubs dearly. I may be what you would expect from a small town girl... I drink beer with my friends, am ever searching for a good burger, and listen to country music. However, this small town girl has adapted well to the big city out west... I figured out the bus (after some hilarious initial attempts), have theatre season tickets, and am slowly adjusting to watching American League baseball. I made my friends give me adjectives to list so I wouldn't feel like a pompous ass... so here is what they contributed: independent, smart, thoughtful, funny, blunt, caring, and mouthy. I'm a horrible cook (with the exception of fajitas, tacos, and oatmeal), but can bake anything your heart desires. I am, however, currently making an attempt to improve my cooking skills, as the jokes about my oatmeal habit are getting old. :)

I tend to spend my free time with friends, bowling, dancing, drinking, playing board games, hiking, reading, and making them generate non-derogatory adjectives for dating websites. I volunteer regularly (the food bank is a favorite). I'm addicted to the library and go through at least a book a week. I love random road trips to see ridiculous roadside attractions... Long Beach is next on my list to see the world's largest frying pan and the Alligator Man. I'll do just about anything if it's with a friend... I just ran my first 1/2 marathon with my best friend and can't believe how amazing it was.

A little about who I'm looking for... I would like to meet a man who is funny, kind, intelligent, taller than me, and who has a sense of purpose in this world. I tend to get along best with people who like their jobs or are pursuing a goal that's important to them.
