Sleepless in Somerset seeks Soulmate -"What if someone you never met,never saw, never knew was the someone for you?"

I am a widower and seeking new friends(hoping to eventually find my soulmate).

Am honest,caring,romantic,respectful,totally faithful,gsoh (dry,- but I'm no stand-up comic!),have wide interests,& am quite well travelled (but keen to see much more of the world).

Interests include most sports (including motorsport- but no longer a spring chicken so have given up playing soccer!),theatre,good restaurants,character pubs, travel (short breaks & long holidays),long walks (especially along the coast) historic sites/buildings,antiques/collectables, openair motoring, classic cars, art,clothes/fashion - is that enough for now? Musical tastes lean towards Soul/Motown (which I played as a Radio DJ in my youth when I was also a keen nite-clubber/dancer!)but also like some rock, folk, even some cheesey pop!
Have 2 children,both still students (& both have been immune/resistant to my advice since their early teens!),daughter supposed to be getting a degree (apparently studying nite-life!)but she still thinks Im cool enough to be seen with her when shopping for her clothes (provided I've got my credit card!)

I value true relationships above all else & am very loyal to true friends. Am alleged by some (with dubious eyesight/judgement) to look much younger than my true mid fifties - slim (but not skinny!), full head (& chest) of hair, all my own teeth, blue eyes which dont need glasses (new all those carrots would do me good!), keep fit/exercise a lot, generally eat healthily and keep a youthful outlook. Don't smoke but have some friends who do (& would only get touchy if they blew smoke in my face!)

Confess weakness for slim lady who shares my values(especially honesty/integrity)& some of my interests,is not self-centred & who (like me)recognises their own deficiencies (nobody's perfect!)and appreciates that a good relationship is built on mutual respect,honesty, trust & the ability to compromise (as well as the physical chemistry etc. of course!). You will probably be 46-56, possibly younger if you are motivated by my maturity/integrity & not my money!!(havent won the lottery yet!)- & not my body (lol -I wish!).

I loved my wife deeply and hope to eventually find true mutual love again. Could it be with you?

Distance will not thwart my quest to find my true match !
