I'm 56 and 180#, but hopefully look and act younger. Someone who enjoys a good beat and can even dance to it. I'm usually quick witted with a sense of humor that borders on off the wall at times. I'm a lover of nature and the outdoors. At home in the woods, snow and water. My best traits are my gentleness and my ability to connect with the natural world. I'm a rescuer of spiders to eagles.....donkeys to voles. An omnivore who hates to kill things. A builder who is also a tree hugger. I guess we all have our contradictions. I have done the hippie homestead trip in Arkansas. Lived many years in North Idaho before moving to an island in SE Alaska. Then some years in Western Washington and the Redwood Coast of California, since I also like to garden and grow things(former nursery owner of uncommon trees and shrubs) I decided to try a warmer climate, one that was near the sea and the mountains.
Now, I find myself as the caretaker of an amazing canyon about 30 miles south of Tucson. Would love to share the sights and sounds here with another lover of the natural world.
I also like to cook, brew fine beers, kayak, hike, back country ski, you know.... all those outdoorsey things...but not obsessive about anything. Watercolors and photography are also important to me. There is no TV in this house, but I am a voracious reader. I do consider myself a hopefull romantic and sensually astute. I look forward to meeting someone to share giggles,snorts and guffaws along with hugs and holding hands. . I still want to learn and I still like to wander and wonder......

Now a note about the drinking part. I don't care much for the choices given. Drink socially=only at functions or special occasions? Drink often= a sot? I have a couple glasses of wine most evenings. What does that mean?
