I have enjoyed so many "eye contact w/smile" moments in the grocery store and coffee shop, and no one ever seems to come up to me and strike up a conversation that would hopefully lead to going for coffee, so here I am honestly looking on POF to meet someone. This medium is a little daunting, but I now feel that I can't win the lottery if I don't play...this seemed to be the only available kiosk in my life lately :)
The things I like best about myself are my sense of humor and my intelligence. I know most people on here claim to have a good sense of humor, but I do find the people around me laughing quite a bit, whether it be at me or with me :) !?
In the spring of 2008 I graduated top of my nursing class, and now that I have a rewarding and enjoyable career started, I want to find a great guy.

I want the same things most people seem to be looking for in a mate; Sense of humor, honest, compassionate, caring, likes the outdoors...etc...but I am not looking for anything more specific than Kind & Stable. You should get a good sense of if I am looking for you just by feeling that you have some things in common with me after reading this way too long profile :)

I enjoy traveling, I have seen a lot of the world & I would love to find someone who wants to travel. Traveling has given me a better education than any time in a classroom ever has!
I have a 4 year old daughter who is very likable, beautiful, and maybe the smartest little girl in the whole wide world, or at least the whole town. My dog is an aging pit bull (who is the sweetest most gentle dog I've ever had). I love to go to the beach, River or lake with my daughter and dog and enjoy the paradise that is Vancouver Island. We enjoy camping about as much as a 5 star beach resort...but given the choice...

I am a compassionate, thoughtful, polite, outgoing, fairly confident person who has a shy side, which I work at hiding fairly well. I am ambitious and hard working, when I set a goal for myself I usually achieve it. I pride myself on my independence, but I must admit I would rather not be single. I love having someone out there who is thinking of me, someone I can call on a good or bad day who is happy to hear from me.

I really enjoy outdoors activities, but I also treasure being able to curl up and read a good book. I like most kinds of music, from Pink Floyd to Metallica. I have been to dozens of concerts in Vancouver & Victoria, in the last year I saw U2, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age & The Tragically Hip. I would say I least enjoy country music, but its not a deal breaker if you like it, there is some of it I sort of enjoy. I love to go over to Vancouver for Canucks games, I have averaged a couple games a season in the last decade.

Now that I am done school, I am enjoying more adventure and spontaneity in my life. My little girl is not a hinderence to adventure or spontaneity, as I have excellent child care and she is also really fun to have along for the right kind of outing. She is pretty damn cool for a 4 year old.

I would be so happy with anything that involved meeting in person, somewhere public. There seems to be too much of just email & chat in here, I honestly do really want to meet someone. I am trying this out because my life/job/social circle does not seem to grant me many opportunities to meet someone eligible.
