I guess this is the part where I'm supposed to accentuate my strengths and downplay my weaknesses, right? I think I will save that kind of marketing for my next job interview! lol For now, let's just say that I'm a good-hearted, loyal, honest, educated, physically fit, and financially secure man who is in search of someone who can be my best friend and lover. All of my buddies are married with children, so that just leaves me out here all by my lonesome--SAVE ME! I am definitely ready to find that special someone to settle down and move into the next stage of life with. Experience has taught me that there is no "Mrs. Right" out there, but maybe there is someone right for me? (shamefully admitting that I am still a sap for all the corny love songs and romantic comedy movies where fairy tale love reigns supreme)
Routine and organization are my friends and help me TCOB (take care of business) more efficiently, which leaves more time for leisure. I bet my typical weekday is more regimented than your average Marine's! lol Working out regularly and eating healthy are very important to me and are included in my daily routine. Usually, I do have a lot of free time on the weekends though (particularly my frequent, long 3 day weekends) and this is when I like to play. Isn't life about having as much fun as possible?
I feel that over time, relationships can be quite challenging to maintain, especially considering that we are not stagnant beings. Change is inevitable for all of us, unless you live on a deserted island and don't have any influeneces around you. ;-) I'm not the same person I was 10 years ago and I would be willing to bet that I won't be the same person 10 years from now. Hell, I probably won't even be the same person tomorrow! lol (Not to worry, I'm not Sybil or anything).
I really am looking for a woman who has an open mind and likes to try new things. I find closed minds unattractive and stifling. It's cool for each partner to be into their own things but definitely necessary for them to be able to grow together and have lots in common. Without a lot of mutual interests and a close bond, a relationship doesn't stand much of a chance once the intial stage of infatuation wears off.
Before I wrap this up, I feel compelled to mention that I do still have a fondness for partying. Yes, even at my ripe, old age! lol Although I only do it about once a month now, I still find it to be fun and cathartic. One has got to let their hair down once in a while, 'ya know!

First Date
Hmm, what would I do on my first date? This is a tough one because it would depend on how long I've known the woman before we actually went out on the first date. If I was able to get to know my date pretty well before we went out, I would be more likely to pick an activity that we were both into, or at least, wanted to try. I'm thinking along the lines of some kind of sport or catching a good show at the Fox Theatre. However, if I didn't know my date that well yet, I would be more apt to take her to a restaurant or lounge where we could talk more and learn about each other.
