I am a witty, humorous, multi-faceted human being. My touch cures cancer, and roses blossom when I smile. Not that I am perfect, I once stubbed my toe and, I am ashamed to admit it, said an inappropriate comment involving a female dog and it's pup. Remember the day the earth stood still? It was then. LoL

Seriously, I have many interests that range from listening to and playing music to eating out to reading(of course) to long drives to nowhere...hmm, with these gas prices, the drive had better be worth it, but good company always is. :-) I live for spontaneous plans, and will decide to spend a day doing the most random thing just because I am in the mood. I am very gregarious and I love to hear people talk...especially about interesting topics. I admire anyone who can draw, and I can watch an artist work for hours without talking or interrupting.

I love long conversations over dinner/in a nice lounge/on the couch with music on in the background. Music to me is like insulin for diabetics. I am always dredging the internet for new artists and genres to enjoy. I try to learn new things and gain new interests as often as I can. It is a great feeling when you try something for the first time and you find that you really like it. I can be very cynical at times, but I readily admit when I am wrong. I prefer laughing over arguing. Basically as long as I am having a good time I'm down for it. I can be very subtle, but I am always direct. If you ask my opinion, I will be tactful, but sometimes the truth hurts. I avoid those situations whenever possible. I like my friends to be the same way: truthful, direct, but tactful and (if necessary) constructive with their criticism...of course, I am basically perfect so what you can complain about I don't know. ;-)

I am here to meet people for friendship. I am tired of superficial relationships in life. I had good friends before and during college, but afterwards we all went our separate ways and grew apart. So I am looking for a new, local batch of awesome friends. Does that make sense? Coming from a guy on this site I mean! :-) lol

The type of person I would like to meet? Mainly I am looking for someone I click with, and who is also looking for a good friend. A sense of humor is a must, as I love to crack jokes and laugh at life. In an ideal world, this friend would share some of my interests; have different interests that I find intriguing and/or want to try; be able to hold a conversation; have a great personality; and live relatively close to where I do. Date? A DATE?! Did you not read my stats??! LOL Ok, just for kicks...a great first date for me begins at a restaurant neither of us has been to but have heard great things about. Great conversation over a long dinner/lunch followed by a walk on some scenic route that sparks intelligent and/or amusing comments from us. If it is after lunch, maybe a trip to a museum to see an exhibit that we both wanted to see. After dinner, perhaps a play that we both wanted to see. After that, we find a nice lounge or cafe to have a drink or two. Is that good enough for ya? *S*

I can boil it down for you...a great first date is any date where you BOTH enjoy what you do and who you do it with. :-)
