I am a genuinely nice, and super sweet guy. I'm always honest and I am usually quite assertive and upfront, especially if you happen to ask. I'm a bit quiet and shy at first, but I will warm up quickly with the right person.

I won't often message a member first, although I have no issues replying or holding conversations... all a part of being shy I suppose. I also realise that most women tend to constantly be bombarded and harassed, which I'm not a fan of.

I’m very affectionate, compassionate, and empathetic. I would really like to find similar qualities in another... someone that can appreciate and reciprocate. Someone that could become a close friend and would enjoy spending good times together doing anything, or nothing at all. I enjoy many activities, but they're definitely not my priority; I'm more about quality time with a person, doesn't matter what we're doing.

I've listed myself as searching for friends, which I am... though I would eventually like a long term relationship as well. I may be a bit old fashioned I guess, as I believe the best relationships come out of great friendships. I really like to get to know a person first, and see just how much, or in what manner we like each other before we make the decision for dating or a relationship. I do believe in the initial spark when you meet the right person, and attraction is always important, but it just takes time to develop a healthy relationship I think.


As for what I’m not looking for... I’m not open to those who are not in the local area; those that smoke, do drugs regularly, or drink often/heavily; also, while children may be great for some, they are just not for me. Maybe someday I will want my own, but if you already have them I most likely won’t be interested.

For first dates/meetings I prefer something casual that allows us to talk and get a feel for each other. Maybe go for a walk, or just hang somewhere and talk for a bit. I'm open to most ideas, although I'm not big on crowds and won't want to go out to eat.

Perhaps we should just talk online for a bit and see what kind of connection and/or interests we share, then choose how we'd like to meet ;).
