I'm not looking for a woman who wants to be chased (or chaste, either.
) I'm looking for a woman that's ready to be caught.
I'd love to form a lasting relationship with a woman who is:
$ intelligent - not because a piece of paper says so, but because she has at least general knowledge of things other than the latest fashions and trends.
$ passionate - not in-the-bedroom passionate, though that is definitely a desirable trait, but has a true passion for at least "something" in her life whether it be her job or a hobby. (Kids/family/friends don't count. That pretty much goes without saying.)
$ compassionate - not one of these new-age, I-don't-need-a-man/men-are-dirt types; a woman who actually has a heart and isn't afraid to let it show (within reason.
)
$ spunky - a woman with a true opinion and points to backup/defend her stance; a woman who is able and willing to carry on a debate and not take it personal if I don't agree with what she says or blow holes in her theories. It helps us both grow intellectually.
$ spry - a woman that realizes stuff isn't going to do itself and will take initiative if need be. (NOTE: I said take "initiative," not try to take the reigns.) Not a couch potato, but doesn't mind playing like a spud on occasion. Also a woman that doesn't mind getting her hands dirty sometimes.
$ semi-traditional - a woman who enjoys being a woman, not necessarily a "girly-girl," but doesn't mind putting on some eyeliner, throwing on a skirt/dress, and carrying a purse every now and then. (If I want someone who is "one of the guys," why not hang out with
actual guys?

$ flexible - a woman whose world doesn't come crashing down if things don't go exactly according to her plan.
$ self-sufficient/sustaining - I don't want to be dragged to every function or outing you have. I don't want your world to revolve around me nor mine you. Some time apart builds a yearning to be together; too much time together can build contempt and boredom.
$ fiscally prudent - don't spend money you don't have, make strides to dig yourself out of your own financial hole, and don't expect me to foot the bill for you all the time.
Well, enough about you; let's talk about ME!
Hobbies? Let's see... I really like photography. Usually when I go out and about for the day on the weekends, I'll bring along my camera gear. You never know when a photo op will present itself! I used to be heavily into building models, but I haven't done it in years. I probably should get back into it... As un-manly as it sounds, many years ago, I really liked doing ceramics! I just like doing things with my hands. (That's probably why I love to give massages so much. It keeps my hands busy while we're together.) I used to fiddle around under the hood of my cars up until they became totally computerized and covered up. Now I just mess around with other parts... I'd LOVE to get into some wood working as a hobby. My walls are just begging for some crown molding and wainscoting!
Goals/aspirations? I want to finish my schooling and get that M.S. in Computer Science. Maybe that piece of paper would open a few more doors, personally and professionally.
What makes me unique? What really makes any person unique? In order to know how I'm unique, you'd have to know my life story; where I've been, what I've done, who I've known. Do I really want to share that in my profile on a date site? Not really. You're just going to have to get to know me and find out for yourself whether or not you think I'm unique. Afterall, it's not up to
me to decide if I'm unique or not. One person's unique is another person's "same song, different dance partner."
Music? Pretty much anything from the 80s. (What can I say? I grew up then.) Jazz, Big Band, Easy Listening, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, some Metal, Alternative, etc. If it has a catchy tune/beat, I enjoy it. Those are my tastes. Your tastes may vary and would have zero bearing on whether or not I would like you, and I hope you feel the same. You know, the whole "unique" thing... If everybody liked the same thing, how boring a world would it be?
