Hi. I'm Courtenay.. I'm like, all dark and uber-complicated and stuff. :) I can also be sunny and fairly basic.. I'm many things in one, like everyone.
I'm a pet groomer, as my daily grind, and I am also a talented but non-prolific artist/ illustrator. I prefer working in clay, inks, pencils and pastels- any subject goes.. mostly wildlife and fantasy though.
I also sing a mean lead or harmony and am a fair rhythm guitar. I would love to find a musician to perform with.. if only at home. Double entendre unavoidable there. ;) (musical ability not prerequisite!)
I love expanding my mind and I am currently studying 2 languages, spanish and russian. I'm constantly updating my knowledge of the natural world, or am buried in a 'how to'. I am a pretty good cook and love to do it for folks I care about.


My family circus includes one beautiful blue pitbull, a handful of scaly critters, and a 14 year old homo sapiens/simpsons-quote generator... The quote generator is a lot of work but is definitely my favorite of the critters. :) We like to camp, hike, shoot, fish and woods-comb... anything outdoors is cool!

I am most interested in men within my own age range(30's, early 40's), and race. I would prefer that you have not been promiscuous, as something about that creeps me out. I would like for you to have at least one or two things in common with me, including single dad-hood of older kids.. (although thats not required either!)
I am pretty old fashioned and traditional, in some ways.. I don't date much, I greatly appreciate gentlemen, and view infidelity as a serious crime. I am looking for a good friendship followed by a commited relationship, if all goes well.
I'm not perfect, I have good days and bad days- I am responsible, devoted, sexual, mercurial, goofy.. a tad crazy perhaps but seriously, anybody who says otherwise is foolin ya and creating a facade that is sure to dissolve with the first hardship. ;)
I'm LOL funny, but I have a cynical streak too and a tight grip on reality.

I know the bandana is distracting and I need to get a new look. My hair drives me nuts and I don't want to spend countless hours of my life spraying and styling! I'm an artist and you're just lucky I don't wear a beret and overalls. ;) I'm more attractive behind the camera than in front of it, is all I can say- don't let the dew-rag fool you!

I prefer getting a drink or small meal in a quiet little joint where we can relax and have an audible conversation with each other.
If you're a nature guy a date along those lines is always a possibility as well.
