Well, I've lived the past five years of my life in the NJ/NYC area with a brief stint back home in Ohio and now I'm off to make Chicago my permanent home for a bit. However, I'm not moving there until November 30th (so stop asking how I like Chicago so far :) haha) So, looking to meet some new people in the area.

I am a very strong, confident and established woman. My friends will call me the most loyal person they know, and also just one of the most charismatic people they know. I know I tend to be picky when it comes to dating. I rely a lot on my gut instinct when I'm around someone, and if it's not there initially, trust me, it won't grow on me.

Living where I have has made me into a very liberal person, so if you're pretty narrow minded about topics, and are not open to healthy and open debate on ideas, then we're probably not going to mesh. Plus if you're a Buckeye fan, that always helps.

Other than that, I keep myself sane with watching sports, working out, watching movies, listening to music, dancing, hanging with friends, reading, traveling and cooking/baking. Yes women still bake and cook.

Oh...and if your message to me is about 90% misspelled, then I probably won't respond. Sorry, I'm sort of a spelling snob. It's a pet peeve of mine. Spell check. It's fabulous.

I have yet to have a first date that has absolutely "wowed" me. Typically I have found that men really tend towards the uncreative route on first dates. I understand a lot of this is because they don't want to put up too much collateral (i.e. their money) on a date with someone they've never met. However, would it be such a bad thing to take a woman to a non-chain restaurant? Or someplace creative other than dinner and a movie?

Believe me...the man who puts effort on the first date usually gets the second. So don't be scared to do something spontaneous and risky...this is love by the way, risks are always involved.
