i guess i'd describe myself as a moderately normal, somewhat intelligent, easy-to-look-at single male with a variety of interests (some of which are actually interesting - art, music, culture, global idiocy, etc). i can be the kindest, most generous and considerate nitwit you've ever met (if i like you). but beware, i might make you giggle occasionally. i cook and clean. I'm able to change my own engine oil. my music tastes include (but not limited to); reggae, old jazz and blues, ambient, funk, and pretty much anything that has a rhythm and melody. i am, however, mildly allergic to opera, new country and commercial radio.

i am (in the big picture) looking for a more full-time friend - maybe even a relationship (gasp!). I'm chivalrous, respectful and can be a very romantic guy with the right lady. but i'm not going to rush into something just to fill a void. if we click, we'll know what to do. but we do have to click.

subjective requirements are; smart, funny, responsible, moderately fit (HWP!) and attractive (to me). looking for friendship, discovery, philosophical intimacy and help carrying furniture on those midnite moves. So, if you've got the muscle...

have i missed anything? oh yeah... if you're up for a beer/scotch/girly drink and a few games of pool, i could sure use the practice. i'm rusty so you'd probably kick my butt - tho' it'd be fun. just say 'hi'.

keep in mind that our first meeting can't really be considered a "date"...more like a 'get to know ya' type of thing. however, if starbucks is on your list of places to meet, i'll pass thanks.

the first real date would depend on our mood, motive and the weather...go for a bike ride, rollerblade, kayak, a gallery tour, hike, feed the ducks, grab a java, walk and talk and chew gum, naked picnic on the rocks, laugh...at other people, the world and our selves... something mental or something physical....or both. beyond this....exploring, going away, coming back, learning, doing. and more laughing...i hope.
