What am I looking for in a woman? The woman I seek is a class act instead of the typical fare I tend to cross paths with in Connecticut. Ideally, you're a person who embraces more traditional values in addition to sharing the belief that relationships truly flourish when there's open communication, honesty, loyalty, trust, mutual respect and commitment. Personal integrity ranks higher in my book than your age and/or height since I've dated women both taller and shorter in addition to those younger and older than myself.

While I've seen many men gravitate toward ladies who are considerably more eye candy than real, experience has taught me that women of modest beauty possessing brains, compassion and a dynamite personality are always better friends / lovers / mates than women whose only concerns are material possessions or worldly status.

When it comes to women I find intelligence more of a turn-on than a threat. I long for a woman who knows the difference between the contraction for the words “I am” and the abbreviation for the phrase “instant message”, the difference between “to” and "too" or “your” and “you’re” and isn't so lazy as to abbreviate words like "you" or "two" with a single letter or number. I'd like to find a woman with a blend of "girl next door" appeal along with a splash of "nerdy" (possibly even "geeky"?) intelligence. What ever happened to the real smart women with glasses - do they still get passes? (don't worry, glasses are not a requirement).

Preferably you're a woman with grown or no children although I welcome the opportunity of meeting your children once past those awkward first stages of dating.

Now you're probably asking what about me? Well, I'm a down to earth, goal driven, well grounded, and God fearing man. I love children and animals and can’t stand to see either one in pain. While sensible and serious, I still know that I can be silly, have a good laugh and enjoy the fun life has to offer. Friends have commented that I remind them of former Saturday Night Live alumni Jon Lovitz, Jason Alexander of Seinfeld or actor Nathan Lane, looks wise. While I enjoy spending time with friends and family I'm just as content with my "me" time whether it's just working on my house or being out and about trail hiking, roaming the malls for a new DVD or taking in a movie or concert. My daily 9-to-5 is in the field of Information Technology in the field of education. I also freelance in several areas of the broadcast communications industry and also as an occasional author for some trade journals and web-based publications. I have recently started co-hosting a weekly national satellite radio talk show, so while my time is at a premium I will make time for the right woman.

My free time is well spent between a circle of great friends, home renovation, personal enrichment and just enjoying what life has to offer. I love music, mostly 60’s through the 80’s classic hits as well as jazz, acoustic and even easy listening. I’m a bit of a gadget person as well especially when it comes to all things dealing from audio to the visual arts.
