I hail to Big Rapids from Grand Rapids by way of Kalalmazoo. I was born in Grand Rapids and still enjoy spending a lot of time there, but spent part of my life in Kalamazoo while I attended WMU for my undergrad and afterwards as I worked for the university. I've been around Big Rapids for about two years, and sometimes I still miss living in a bigger city like Grand Rapids.

I'm a loving, passionate, creative person who enjoys meeting new people and thrives on trying new things and going to new places. I like all kinds of food, and especially enjoy different ethnic foods like Chinese, Mexican, Indian, and Mediterranean. I haven't had a chance to try many of the cuisines out there and would definitely be up for it.

I live in a teeny apartment with my two cats. They are definitely my girls and keep my company when I'm alone. I don't mind spending time by myself, and can get busy with projects or just vegging out in front of the tv watching movies. I'm on a bowling league for the first time in my life - its a lot of fun, but I could use a lot of practice too!

The summer is my favorite time of the year and I love spending time outdoors especially when its sunny out. I'm into camping, hiking, sailing, swimming, kayaking, tubing, and spending time at the beach. I also like watching movies, playing card games and boardgames, cooking, dancing, reading, cuddling, talking, laughing, just about anything.

I love all kinds of music and movies. Some of my favorite musicians and groups are O.A.R., Dave Matthews Band, Snoop Dogg, Jimmy Buffett, Nelly Furtado, Kanye West, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Tom Petty, Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, John Cougar Mellencamp, Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, George Thorogood, The Rolling Stones, U2, The Beatles, Steve Miller Band, Lisa Loeb, and Basement Jaxx.

Movie wise, I tend to stay away from super gorey or super scary movies. I don't mind suspense, and in some cases I don't mind gore - but I can't handle movies like Blade 3 or Saw. I love anything with Adam Sandler, and comedies in general. If you have ever seen Danny Deckchair and loved that movie then you should definitely message me.

I don't have cable at my house and don't watch a whole lot of tv, I do like to catch Desperate Housewives, The Office, House, Weeds, My Name is Earl, ER, Law & Order: SVU, and CSI Miami. My secret trashy tv habit is watching shows on Bravo like the Real Housewives of Orange County when I have the opportunity.

I like creative first dates. As long as the date allows for me to get to know you, then I'm all for it. I also like to be surprised and would be all for a surprising first date where I don't have to make any decisions.
