About Me
Professional Middle Aged 'Follicly Challenged' Gentleman with eclectic tastes (in music, people, food & life in general), enjoys the company of educated people. That's why I'm looking to be with someone who has at least some college under their belt. I'm looking for someone, not many someones, to spend time with - enjoying one another's company and being close to - in all its meanings. Be it to dinner, relaxing, going to theatre, travel, going to museums, movies, other forms of entertainment, hanging around comfortably together, and so forth.
I enjoy being with someone who can hold a conversation and has good self esteem. I'm not looking for someone who looks to me for everything to make her happy. You should be able to enjoy yourself on your own, with your own friends, as well as mine. You definitely recognize and are comfortable with the concept that we all need some alone time.
I prefer to be with easy going people, I'm really not looking to be with overly dramatic folks. We don't have to agree about everything - it really is ok to have differing views on many things. There are some basics we need to agree upon, the rest is food for understanding.
I'm divorced and Dad to two wonderful adult sons who mean the world to me. Have never said anything negative about their mom, so they wouldn't have to feel awkward, besides, why waste time negatives when there's so much more interesting opportunities and adventures ahead.
I have had a number of career paths along the way and enjoy working - but it's not the be all and end all. I prefer time off with friends, family, loved ones and, at times, on my own.
I really do have very eclectic tastes in music, hobbies and friends. I'm not a religious person - I am Jewish, but respect all religions (or almost all)!
Most people who get to know me find me to be a very nice / sweet & decent guy. I have a relatively easygoing personality, but I'm definitely not "a doormat." If I feel I'm being unfairly treated, or if others are being unfairly treated, I will definitely speak up and try to get things changed for the benefit of all. I'm definitely not a 'bad boy,' nor do I pretend to be, but I do indeed have a very impish component to my personality.
I'm the kind of guy who will talk to kids (only when their parents are around) and other strangers in the grocery store, etc. The smiles always I get in response always brighten my day (no I'm N-O-T talking about the kind of smiles you might give to some of the crazy folks who approach you on the street)!!!
First Date
I enjoy and find it particularly helpful in establishing whether or not there's chemistry by playing some form of 50 questions together - so going somewhere we can talk and get to know each other a bit is important. Therefore a noisy hockey game or movie, etc. probably wouldn't do it for me. I find it easy to talk over a meal, coffee or drinks, or even walking around a museum or library.
I'm definitely not a 4 or 5 star restaurant kind of guy - so if going to the latest trendy place is a regular part of your repertoire of activities, I'm probably not the guy for you. Been there, done that when necessary for business and don't enjoy it all that much.
