I work as a professor so that means only a few hours in the classroom every week. I knew there was a reason for all those years at college.
I love to laugh and enjoy life but I enjoying "going out" as much as "staying in" or doing something like a walk, hike or bike ride.
I am confident and outgoing, but always willing to let the other person talk so I can learn more from them. I am secure in who I am, but do not feel the need to "help" others find themselves unless they ask. Some people prefer to stay lost, that's their choice.
I like studing people, the variety, similarities and the multitude of daily interactions. I can be as fascinated people watching as a little child. But since I am older I use what I learn to interact more fluidly with different people and personalities. I am the person who can enter almost any room and find a conversation everyone can participate in and it does not have to revolve around me.
I try to travel at least twice a year at least once out of the country. Sometimes the travel involves professional conferences but I am always up for any trip I can squeeze in.
I want to meet friends and possibly develop more.

I am up for just about anything where I would get to know more about the person's personality and interests.
