| | I am mainly interested in someone who values friendship, honesty and other human values and who, to start with, would like to have companion/partner for going to the occasional concert, dinner and/or explore the world around us. Time will tell if this will lead to more. I prefer someone who appreciates and can say of himself that he has a warm personality, good education and is generally a kind and considerate person. Personality is definitely more important than looks! Evenly important is that this person has humour, likes to laugh(or should I say knows what fun is?), has a positive nature, is self-confident and sees the world as a great place to live in.
I emigrated to Canada 20+ years ago and am generally told that I am easy going. I feel that I am lucky in as I have a caring family (children and grandchildren)and am independent in every sense.
I am financially secure and independent and am looking for someone similar. Have taken up lately golfing mainly for exercise and fresh air. Other than that and walking on the beach (spend several weeks in the winter in the southern US), I am not necessarily into a lot of sports except regular workouts at the gym and perhaps watching tennis which I used to play for many years. I will probably not add my photo to this site (I really value my privacy) but am told and feel that I am good looking (without being glamorous)and am interested in someone who also feels that what's inside is more important than what's outside. This does not mean, of course, that grooming is not important to me and should also be important with the person I will go out with!
Age is not that important to me but a young positive mind is.

I hope that we would like to correspond with each other first once or twice before meeting and perhaps exchange a photo so that we can visualize whom we are corresponding with. I am not sure about corresponding too long though because there is a danger that one builds up expectations about a person (on both sides) that have little in common with the person one finally meets.
Ideally, I feel that a first meeting would probably be coffee or lunch and, hopefully, a relaxed conversation. Like many things in life, I am sure that the first few minutes will give both of us a good indication if it is worth the while to continue seeing each other. |
