I am a single fellow who has never been married and has no children. Not that I didn't want children, it just never worked out that way. I have fantastic nephews and a niece that I get to spoil and a host of extended family and friends. I have been told by my friends and family that their kids have all been affected in a positive way from having been around me and I am a natural with children.

I am an honest person and I wear my heart on my sleeve. I always try to do the right thing and most times I'm successful with that goal.

I have a relatively small group of friends but they are very loyal and very close. I have been best man four times and I think that has become some sort of an ironic curse. I have little to no interest in most sports although I like Formula one racing and I can appreciate hockey during the play-offs.

Although I don't like many sports I love being a participant in things like white water rafting, playing paintball outdoors, outdoor photography, Sea Dooing/boating and a few others. I have a long time desire to try sky diving as well.

I spend most weekends in the summer at the family cottage in Parry Sound and enjoy time out on the water in my boat or out on my Sea Doos. I love to be out on Georgian Bay after a storm being one with nature. Twenty plus foot waves are what I enjoy the most. I don't beat the waves up, I play in them like a dolphin would. There is something liberating and exhilarating about playing out in mother nature, knowing you could just disappear and all of the technology we depend on cannot overcome her will. It's not a morbid view but one of respect and awe for nature.

Night time at the cottage is for looking up into the heavens at the millions of stars we can't see from the city. I can sit on the deck of the cottage overlooking the lake and never find myself bored, there is so much to see in nature one can never grow tired of watching it.

I also love curling up with a special someone and watching a good movie. I have a broad range of interests when it comes to film. I enjoy old classics to modern and have no definite dislikes other than gore for the sake of gore. I almost went to film school before becoming a mechanic so I have a special appreciation and understanding of the craft of film making.

I have been in sales for the last 15 year or more and enjoy the freedoms provided to me by not being tied to a desk. I work in the field of factory automation, it is basically Lego for grown ups and is like spending each day on the show How Is It Made. I am very mechanically inclined, I am also a licensed mechanic who specialized in electronics and diagnostics, I enjoy machines and technology although I balance that with nature and time at the cottage.

I feel the focus shouldn't be on the where, how and when but the person I'm with that day or evening.

I don't think there is a perfect answer for this question as it would also depend on the person I am with and what they like or do not like.
