I am rather tall, lean (a few displaced pounds), balding, hazel eyes, strong hands and a understated smile. I was competitively athletic, unfortunately, I can only participate in non contact less aggressive sports. I long for the mountains, and live on the water. I plan to build a home in southwestern Virginia. Several Yerts perched on a rise, overlooking an open valley with a stream. I enjoy gardening, landscaping,pets, critters included. Hiking, biking, sitting in a cold stream on a hot summers day. In awe while watching lightening and shaken by the booms of a thunderstorm. Sharing times with friends and family. I love the 60's and 70's rock and roll; got off on tight bell bottoms, silk shirts platform shoes, and dancing to disco.Will not miss an opportunity for a road trip to a concert, festival, or fiddlers convention. I remember my first slow dance... two frightened young people in one an others arms... in public. My first dog, my first car. I am a closet romantic,awaiting an opportunity.Oh yes, I love to eat...everything...almost.

I have two very important commitments...My son, who lives locally, with his mother and stepfather. He's a senior in high school and aspires to graduate from college. Every time we're together, I am overwhelmed at the miracle this child is. Fortunately, he still has time for me, however, his part-time job and girls are attracting a great deal of his attention...I Have recently moved my 93 year young mother out of her apartment and independence, into a vetrans assisted living facility. She's sharp as tack, with enough gumption left to fuss at me, (when I need it). She still loves my dad, who passed many years ago, when she speaks of him a sparkle and tears well in her eyes. I hope that this all consuming, romantic love wasn't lost with the generation before us. She is happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. This process has been grueling and very enlightening.

At this point, you may take issue with me; you may think of me as naive, unrealistic, with a distorted sense of entitlement. Clarifying desired characteristics is intended to avoid confusion and not mislead. I am prepared for the possibility that I may not have the good fortune to share the rest of my days, but this is, however, my dream...She is tall, (my prom date, however, was 4'11") lean, and carries her height with poise and confidence. When she walks into a crowded room I'm powerless to see anyone but her. From me, she expects honesty, devotion, sharing, and unquestionable fidelity, which she would return in kind. Conversant, capable, comfortable among others. She feels at home in jeans, looks stunning in a gown and on occasion dresses more flirty and provocatively. She would appreciate and encourage spontaneous,all-be-it awkward, attempts to find "that" place on her neck. Allows me to loose my self in her hair. Not afraid to get her hands dirty or to sweat after a days labor. Would freely share and participate in developing plans for the future. Likes holding hands, strong hugs and verbal affirmation of affection. Willing to curl up with me in an over-sized chair, wrapped in a comforter, while the falling snow comes to rest on our faces. Tolerates my run-on sentences, and an occasional inability to verbalize when I am the target of a good natured joke.
