| | I love to travel and take cruises. I grew up in a military family and moved around quite a bit until the age of 16. I have been to Japan, Okinawa, and many states in the United States. I have been searching for friends I grew up with at Yokota Air Base, Tachikawa Air Base, or Johnson Air Base in Japan as well as military bases in the U.S. I went to Johnson High School in the early 70's. If you are a fellow military "brat" I would love to hear from you too.
We all go through trials in life and I've had my share the last few years with a divorce and health problems. I have come to know the Lord like never before as a result of my life's trials. I have made mistakes in my life but we have a new beginning because we have a God who forgives and gives us new life and purpose. I love the lyrics from the song Who am I?
Who am I? That the Lord of all the earth, Would care to know my name, Would care to feel my hurt. Who am I? That the bright and morning star, Would choose to light the way, For my ever wandering heart.
Not because of who I am, But because of what you've done. Not because of what I've done, But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading, Here today and gone tomorrow, A wave tossed in the ocean, A vapor in the wind. Still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord, you catch me when I'm falling, And you've told me who I am. I am yours. I am yours.
Who am I? That the eyes that see my sin Would look on me with love And watch me rise again. Who am I? That the voice that calmed the sea, Would call out through the rain, And calm the storm in me.
Not because of who I am, But because of what you've done. Not because of what I've done, But because of who you are. |
