Who am I?
Physically, I am 5’4, with dark brown hair that is growing out and is finally long enough to run hands through again. I have bright blue eyes that change to match my mood. I have a ready yet shy smile that I offer to everyone. I have a body that is very much imperfect, not small, but definitely beautiful and strong and getting healthier all the time. I have curves and quirks and such soft skin.
Emotionally I am impulsive in passionately human ways. I watch people and understand them in ways that they are surprised to be understood. I make people feel safe and cared for and interesting. I am forgiving and generous and humble. I am protective of things that need protecting, including myself. I love touching and being touched, but in the tender, innocent ways that are not shallow enough to hide behind.
Intellectually I am again impulsive and passionate. I can think of nothing more important than understanding how the earth, the body, and the mind work. Each new person I meet invites me into a world of new things to learn about, and I delve into others as though they are there for me to read start to finish.
Philosophically, I believe in the golden rule, in respecting others always, in the thought that the more good we put out in the world, the better the world will inherently be, even if we never directly see that good again. I believe in the things I can see and experience, and in the possibility of things that I have not seen or experienced.
Socially I appreciate calm and quiet and happy. I appreciate real and honest and uncomplicated. I would rather say nothing for hours on end and then conclude out loud “I’m happy to be with you” than to say a lot of nothing and leave without you knowing how I feel. I would rather know who you are and where you came from and what you believe than knowing what you like to eat and drink and do. I am a lover of animals and outdoors, I don’t mind getting dirty, I am the one that does not merely say hello to the dog but rather kneels and gives it a good rub on the ears and has a brief chat with it. I love music and listen and sing often, I have music for every mood and phase of my life. I love going on new adventures, jumping into the ocean, rappelling off cliffs, diving with sharks, galloping a horse cross country (yes, I've done all these). I adore children, I throw myself into making their world better and I believe that the children that I know are some of the best people I know.

What am I looking for?
Physically, someone big enough to hold me, someone who does not spend too much time valuing their image in the mirror, someone who seeks health, not beauty. Someone that will smile at me when I smile at them and look me in the eye when I look them in the eye.
Emotionally, someone who is gentle and kind and open. Someone who Is looking for love, not lust. Someone who chooses to be happy despite the fact that life is hard sometimes. Someone who is protective of the things that need protecting. Someone who makes the world a better place in some way and who does it for the right reasons. I have always had a soft spot for fire/rescue/police (I'm an EMT myself, so I'm familiar with some aspects of the lifestyle). Someone who is not merely wanting to be with someone, but to know them and live alongside them and be part of them. Someone who understands the profound value of touch and does not demean it by always equating it with sex.
Intellectually, someone who is never done learning. Someone that will be able to discuss some of my interests with me but also introduce me to ones that I have not yet thought of. Someone who knows the differences between discussing, debating, and arguing. Someone who believes in the worthlessness of arguing.
Philosophically, someone that can explain why they believe what they do, and accept me for what I believe. Someone who can agree to disagree.
Socially, someone who can dance in the rain with me, play a little ice hockey, and go wine tasting. Someone who does not need strict gender roles to define themself with, in other words someone who will appreciate that i am strong and independent but still let me curl up on their shoulder. Someone who appreciates people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and beliefs. Someone who would sing with me or to me would be incredible. Someone that loves children is a necessity, and someone that likes or at least is willing to be exposed to children with disabilities comes with the territory with me.

Oh please not coffee.. dinner if we must... but how about an adventure? making fools of ourselves together? challenging ourselves to try something new? working together to accomplish something? something involving fresh air and sunshine? please?
