Hey there!

How are things? Name's Derek and I'm not a fan of meeting people online as a means of finding that "special someone" but I thought I'd give it a try nonetheless. I'm currently in university for biology (actual program name is just too long so you'll have to ask for it) and with it, I hope to someday be working out in the field. I love meeting new people and having random conversations so I'm definitely up for a good chat. I tend to be really chatty, and when coupled with my curiosity for all things in this world, I get pretty comfortable talking about most things under the sun. I happen to be a very laid back guy but at the same time I'm hyper so it kinda evens itself out a bit.

If at first I'm not very chatty, don't worry! I just take a little time to warm myself up to you, however, I tend to continue being clammed up if I don't get the right vybe from you. Talking to me is actually pretty easy though but it just takes time, something that not all of us can afford. I have a tendency to take things slow, but if you wanna speed things up a bit then set the pace and I will follow. I'm a firm believer of the quote "Be kind - for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." and because of that I try my best to be nice to whomever comes along my way. With this, I also am a very non-judgemental person since I don't care what a person's done in the past as long as it stays in the past (unless it was something weird like murder, then I'd be a little scared).

I'm not only looking for a relationship right now, I'm pretty open to lots of stuff so if you wanna talk just for kicks, that's definitely more than fine. There's nothing like networking yourself I find so I hope to be able to meet more people even if they aren't interested in dating. I feel that it's just great to exchange information between people as that allows for self-growth.
