My most recent first date was a hike on the Appalachian trail with a picnic lunch, but I've also gone the more traditional dinner-and-a-movie route. I prefer the former rather than the latter, because it combines healthy exercise with fresh air, nature, and lots of time to talk and assess chemistry and possibilities.
