Dating is like going to the mall—on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Think about it. Don’t we all want to find a place to park close to the mall on that day, if we venture out at all? The closer the better. But seemingly, all the good “ones” are taken. Isn’t dating like that? Finding someone who is healthy, healed and ready to be in a relationship? Add a few more personal wishes and we go and seek THAT person. THAT person would represent a parking place close to the mall. Are you tracking w/ me? There are those that SEEM ready or close-but we find they’re too emotionally Handicapped at this time to be in a relationship. Can’t park in the handicap spaces. Then there’s places to park that are like miles and miles away-yep they’re open but-wow that’s a long trek and carrying ALL that baggage. Let’s face it, we’d be compromising if we parked there. (still w/ me?) So what choices do we have? We COULD forget it and go home-we COULD settle and deal w/ baggage-we COULD go ahead and get in a handicap relationship thinking-I can fix it. OR we COULD just keep driving around hoping that someone (foolishly) will back out of a great parking place. Someone--foolishly-- put her car in reverse and backed out of the space I was in. I work in broadcasting & produce commercials, lo--lov--lo-well, it's a job. Naw I do love what I do. I like being outdoors-primarily cuz the kids have changed the locks & I've gotten use to it. I try to stay in shape and do pretty good-altho that shape tries to change. I'm thinking of the fear factor diet. Are you with me? I hope you like to laugh.
