Widowed 2 years ago and ready to live life again. Looking for someone to enjoy the second part of life with. Would like someone who enjoys dancing, theater, ballet, trying new things, entertaining, dining out, and exploring vacation spots. I am open to learning about what your interests are as well.

I am involved with fitness so it is imperative that the person I am with believes in taking care of themself physically, mentally and spiritually. I practice Reiki, yoqua (water yoga) and ai chi (water tai chi).

My friends and students tend to refer to me as perky and I suppose that I am. Throughout the last few years I experienced my husband getting cancer and losing the battle. It was hard, but one thing that I learned was to live each day fully. People tend to think me inspirational. They don't see the times when I have struggled to stay positive and happy, but we have two choices in life, to enjoy it or let it pull us down. I prefer to do the former. I suppose coming from a divorce is different than losing one that you love. With divorce may come bitterness and relief. With death of a loved one there is only sadness. I had a great marriage to a very good man and there fore, in spite of us all having baggage, I feel lucky to have had great happiness in my life and look forward to sharing that happiness again.

I like to get out and do things, but can also be a homebody. My children and grandchildren are important to me and if yours are also I would enjoy them as much as I hope you enjoy mine.

I have a high level of energy and would expect my partner to also enjoy being active in life.

First date.....mmmmmmmmmm could range from coffee and chat so we can get to know each other, to a sexy candle-lit dinner, to out on the town dancing, or attending that show, concert or movie that you would like to see. I am not really picky. As mentioned above - pretty open to most things. Surprise me with a picnic on the beach or exploring downtown Chicago and perhaps a ride in one of the Hansom cabs. I love romance, but I also love silly things. And I love being surprised!
