Update for Mark - Ahh! The simple pleasures of life. How bad can things be? Today I bought a case delicious mangos for a mere $11... some one in Mexico, grew these mango, put them in a box and sent them buy truck/plane...to my chinese grocery store. mmmmmm Spring is around the corner!!




My renovation saga continues, but the end is in sight. The first cabinets are up in the kitchen, all new floor is in, some blood was spilled. But it is all falling into place. Hopefully it can be done soon and I can go on a nice trip somewhere. !!!



ARGH!! I reno hell!! It started as a kitchen update, and grew into a main floor refresh.. OMG!! Anyone ever experience mid-reno regret? Ah! Well I am sooooo far past the point of no return.. my house is a construction site. How I long for the future!!!

This week the derivatives trading was not pretty, I still think it will work, but this week it was not easy. This represents a new path for me, so it will take a while to work out...testing 123...



About me - Well, I am the youngest of 4 children. I think as a result I am pretty independant minded.

Career, - it's ok, I can't say I love my job. It has it's moments (either way). I work for a HUGE company, so it can be a bit impersonal. I'm always on the lookout for ways I can improve or alter my career path. That said, it has been good to me and I have achived some good results over the years. I can say with a degree of confidence that "my house is in order".

My politics are somewhat left leaning, I would say socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

I'd love to find "the one" (who wouldn't). Having a woman in my life has always been mostly positive. Even when it didn't work out, it was always a positive experience. As is, I have a pretty demanding job, a wide variety of friends as well.
I have resolved to start living life more for the moment (kinda like the movie the bucket list lol..great movie, Morgan Freeman is AWESOME!!!).

I think I have come to view life as a steady transition from one state to another, with experiences all the way through. In the end what we are is a sum of our personal experiences.

I have a dry and quirky sense of humor.. (think more Far Side vs slapstick). Not a huge sports fan, but the sports I do enjoy are F1, Moto GP, Tennis.) I mostly prefer to play then watch.

So what type of woman am I looking for? Ok, I am not going to publish a grocery list like some people do. I think people who do that will never be satisfied.
But warmth, grounding and empathy are qualities I appreciate.


My idea of love:
Look up the lyrics of the Depeche Mode song "somebody". That song defines romantic love IMHO.

My personal goal that I strive for is to make a positive impact on every person I meet. It is a tall order, no impact is also ok...negative impact = failure.

Don't care about race, hair color, etc I am somewhat adventurous and play sports so it would be nice if you do are active and into wellness. I will generally not get along with intolerant, or ultra-right wing people. I am pretty easy going, people tell me that I am intelligent you can decide for yourself when we meet. Thx for reading.

No grand gestures on the first date, a drink or coffee is good....somewhere not too loud so we don't have to yell.
