I kind of believe that all of my life can be distilled down to 2 things: learning stuff and having fun. ANd as it turns out, they don't usually happen at the same time I'm into real estate all my adult life and manage a bunch of my own rentalshah! Prop mgmt is not really in my temperament but I do OK at it. Mostly, I like selling and building and remodeling. I've redone a number of historic properties down by the Capitol. I like old houses and old trucks. I have a collection of old International Harvester trucks. I'm better at collecting them than at restoring them. I've come to learn that ideas are cheap and fast and reality often takes lots of time and money. I hold a general contractors license also and could build you a room addition or a guest house. Right now we're doing a historic duplex at 19th/van buren and painstakingly(like pain in the butox)restoring every old window. I do woodworking; I've salvaged mesquite trees, taken the logs to the mill, had them cut to lumber and made furniture from them. I got on the ch 12 news when the PV mall cut down all their magnificent mesquites and threw them into the landfill. I've got a vegetable garden and had some fabulous green beans out of that last night.

I'm thinking I'm probably old enough to get settled down and have a family. LOL! When I've dated ladies with kids it's gone quite well. What do I like? Well, chemistry is must; I won't last long without that. Otherwise, taller, thinner, pretty, sexy, intelligent, open heart. medium spontaniety. OK, if it takes you a week to decide if you'll go to lunch with me; I can't deal with that. the answer is Yes, or No. it's not something to think about. If you've ever been called frigid or uptight, I wouldn't be your guy. Open minded and reasonable. No excessive fears;pain,anger. I did three years of instense yoga. yoga is very good for me. actually that would be a great first date.

but I hate dating. can't we just get past that? I live on an acre that is like a mini-resort. there is a full outdoor kitchen; pool table, pool/spa, basketball, tv's everywhere and a few nutty dogs to keep all entertained. Forget the date thing, come over and I'll grill some shrimp or salmon for you. I was at Barcelona within the last month and while that's fun to do on the odd occassion, I'd rather be on a pontoon boat at the lake or walking through the woods or riding dirt bikes or going on a road trip to pick up an old truck out of some farm field. Last w/e we boogied up to Oakland, right across from the Coliseum to rescue a 50's IHC road tractor. I'd like to think of that as a potential guy/girl thing, but it's like work; you'd have to really really love me, have a 100% open mind, be able to run a forklift and help change the tire we blew out in the middle of nowhere at 104*. I can't imagine any girl wanting to sign up for that. Maybe some things are better kept separate in a relationship

My grandfather was a successful businessman and farmer in rural Wisconsin and got married for the first time when he was 51. That had to be pretty nutty back in 1920.
