"the best things in life can't be seen, heard, or even touched, they must be felt" is from Helen Keller, who knew all to well about the interior of a person. 'it is only with the heart that one can see rightly what is essential is invisible to the eye'. People often make a judgement call about the exterior without realizing the wealth of the person lies in their heart. A bit of a romantic I guess, but I have learned that the prettiest of packages don't always hold the prettiest of presents.

I was a theater major in college, so the only drama you get from me is on stage. lol. I did not finish college, mostly I think because I was bored. A definite sign that I was too young to be there, I think. I think I am well read and a good conversationalist....articulate...I can discuss a myarid of subjects while claiming to be a master of none.

Gourmet cooking, dancing, entertaining friends, gardening, bicycling, hiking--not much of a backpacker....I enjoy my shower and bed at night. I do enjoy going to the mountains and cooking there....believe it or not I can cook chicken picata over an open fire.....add a nice wine and salad...voila, lovely meal.....rangers rather frown on the wine---so the paper cups rather than the stemmed glasses.

I try look for the positve in the experiences of life and realize that my reaction to what life hands me is within my control. I take ownership of choices I have made and have found that I have a wonderful life. I don't consider myself independant as much as self-reliant. Most men can be quite delightful, witty, charming, kind and intelligent. Women need to remember that the jerk they knew has no connection with the man they are meeting. Just as I know the man I meet is not responsible for the actions of the jerks I have known.

I tried the long-distance thing and found it quite difficult. I can paddle my own side of the boat but my elderly father and children are here and I plan to continue to work a while longer. But I do have liberal vacation time to play and I have a passport.

I am a Christian and know where my blessings come from but at the same time, I am not going to thump you over the head with my Bible.

I put dating for the relationship because it has to start somewhere, so why not make a date to have coffee or a glass of wine or take a walk and get to know one another.
