I am focused, intense and driven, yet a fun and relatively happy person. I consider myself to be a realist... I accept life for what it is and I’m accepting of others for who they are as long as they are not hurtful, destructive, addicted to drama, or disrespectful of their own or others mental and physical well-being and I’m growing increasingly particular of whom I do and don’t want to share my time with.

I have a lot of good friends that I spend time and do things with regularly and I like to stay busy and learn new things. It’s important to me to be active and productive, but I can also just chill out and relax at home. I don’t have to be constantly busy and on the run as I am comfortable in my own skin…I’m not running away from anything and I realize that quality down time is a healthy part of a balanced life.

Others have told me I am intelligent, possess a sharp wit, hold and share opinions on many topics yet keep an open mind and engage in mindful interaction with others thus easy to have a conversation with. I embrace treating others in the manner I expect to be treated. Responsible, caring, respectful, appreciative and a willingness to embrace new experiences are all accurate descriptives.

I like to have fun. A lot of fun when possible. Who doesn't?

I appreciate great music, great food, interesting travel, theatre, museums, day trips, and lazy Sunday mornings with the newspaper and a good cup of coffee. For starters.

I am confidently self-sufficient by being successfully employed in a steady career for over 20 years. I clean and maintain my own house, do my own laundry, and prepare my own meals. As a man with a developed sense of independence, I am not looking for someone so I can be “taken care of” by any means, but I'm open to meeting new friends to date if the chemistry, mutual attraction and common interests are there.

My ideal dating partner is independent yet interested and interesting. She's ready...available and unencumbered from the lingering noise of the past. She isn't prone to creating unnecessary drama which there's enough that life offers without bringing it to each other. I promise I won't add any either. It’s also important to have a sharp sense of humor as I often times see the humor or lighter side of many situations, even though they may not necessarily seem so at first glance.

I enjoy women that know who they are and have a reasonably good idea of what they want, but I also know that can be subject to change over the course of time. As for me at this point in my life, I have a decent idea of what I want and I'm very comfortable with that, but that also tends to be a shifting work in progress. I do, however, have a really good handle on what I don't want.

Being open-minded, emotionally and sensually available is a must.

Life is way too short to settle for anything less.
