About Me
First off, thanks for checking out my profile. If after reading this you like what you see, I’d love to hear from you. If not, I hope you find what you’re looking for on here. I’m a native Torontonian who just recently returned home to a city that feels much bigger than when I left it. Basically, I am finding it rather difficult to get to know new people. I suppose that’s why I’m on here.
Now to give you a little bit more substance… My first language is French, but I tend to speak English a lot more. I'm an avid storm chaser, which in essence is a completely nerdy hobby that I do in summer time. Yes, we do get tornadoes in Ontario… although the life of a storm chaser is usually nowhere near as exciting as Twister (which nevertheless is a fantastic movie..haaa). I also enjoy saving the planet, or at least volunteering my time with some groups that help protect species and habitats at risk. I have (debatably) been referred to as a treehugger, but I just see it as a love of the outdoors and nature in general. When I’m not doing either of the above, you might catch me rock climbing, taking pictures, drinking a single malt scotch, playing my guitar (she’s called Jasmine), hanging out at my cottage by the campfire or catching some great canadian music somewhere downtown.
Some of my other interests include: coffee, wearing a suit and hardhat, fat bass licks (the instrument not the fish... :|), puns, maps and legends, fine wine (or at the very least, palatable wine :P) traveling (I've been to 15 countries...this year :|), tough hikes, lacrosse, politics and global issues, cacti, wandering, a good read, a good beer, taking pictures, making love not war.
I work for a large company in downtown Toronto and consider myself completely lucky to be in the environmental field, doing something I'm passionate about.
I generally find myself attracted to fun-loving people that are easy-going, have good sense of humour and adore nature. I think smart conversations are sexy and those capable of having them are even sexier. I’m into girls who enjoy keeping it simple one night, but who are equally as willing to head out and explore all the culture and community this city has to offer. But more than anything I enjoy meeting new people and discovering our common interests and quirky connections. Hey, it just might be fun right?
Random facts: I was once offered an on-air correspondent job at MTV while I was on vacation in Miami...umm...people have said I can do a pretty good 'movie guy' voice...I've climbed 11,447 feet up a mountain...
