These things can be so shallow. Here goes!

My friends would describe me as:
creative, strong willed, passionate, the whitest black girl they know, sassy, competitive, sarcastic, outgoing, straight forward, and funny. Really...I asked!

I realize relationships take work and effort to maintain. I'm not afraid to compromise. I understand that it's all a two-way street and I'll be perfectly happy taking care of him the way he takes care of me. I believe that trust and healthy communication is the basic foundation to any good relationship and without it...there's nothing.

I know I'm not perfect and I'm OK with that...you should be too.

I speak my mind...always. I don't bottle things up and let them fester. If the choices are between speaking my mind and getting into a confrontation because of it, or sitting back, saying nothing, and being left alone - I'll choose the (healthy) confrontation...every time.

I am actually older than I look. I'm constantly mistaken for someone in their 20's.

I'm busy. So the time I spend with another has to be quality time. I'm a K3 teacher and elementary music teacher. I'm also a singer...I get paid for it, so I guess I can't be half bad. :) Looking to start working on my Bachelor's degree in the very near future.

I enjoy listening to, singing with, and dancing to music, reading, going to the beach, watching a movie, Target, taking a good nap, hanging out with my kids, or friends, or both. Set up a good game of flag football, I'm in.

I used to be a night owl, but no so much anymore...maybe because I don't have anything to stay up for?

I'm looking for someone who basically will accept me for me. Don't care about nationality or race...it's really not that important to me. Can he handle a sassy, independant female with a strong personality? He should have a sense of humor, be trustworthy, laid back, caring, communicative. Have some goals in life!

Since I don't want to waste your time and I'd rather you not waste mine, you should be okay with kids. (I share custody with my ex-husband so if you aren't interested in children, it's probably not a good idea to move forward)

I am simple and pretty low maintenance. A good first date would be dinner at a not-too-quiet restaurant where we could talk, laugh, and get to know each other. Maybe a movie afterwards? No mushy chick-flick please!

IF it's possible for a guy to get to know a girl at a sporting event, that would be interesting. Without being too cliche' I love the beach. Or possibly something mildly competitive? Bring it!
