I've listed some of my interests above; they vary with the seasons and my mood. However my values never change: honesty, loyalty, staying active, laughing, intellectual stimulation, family. That is who I am, and who I promise to be. I desire the same of my friends, lover, love.

I am an explorer of life. Ever since I was a little boy I've always wondered: What's over the horizon? How does this work? Who is that person? What can I learn from them? As an explorer, I'm almost always up for new things; if I haven't listed something as an interest, it's probably because I haven't had a chance to try it. Yet.

But enough about me, what about you? Well, you don't smoke. That's pretty important; I've seen what lung cancer can do to a family and I'm not prepared to go through that again. You're probably between 28 and 38, but feel like you're 30. You're intelligent, but perhaps life distracted you before you finished your degree? You enjoy spending your days out in the mountains, and your evenings in front of the fire. You hear "take a month off and go rock climbing in Thailand?" and your first reaction is "fun!" You have some interesting hobbies you want to share with me, and some you want to keep all to yourself. You're not a fan of the bars, but you think it'd be fun to teach me to dance. You're stable and down to earth, but have a inner child that escapes every now and then.

I've been told that I should add that I generally have my act together: cars, house, career, no interest in drugs, no skeletons in the closet, etc. Apparently it's not all that common with guys on this site? I don't know; it seems like it should be a given.

Possibly a "hike" (walk) in the mountains, or wandering around the zoo, or lounging in the hot springs in Banff, or even shopping. It really depends on what we're in the mood for. Of course somewhere in there is a decent meal--after all everyone has to eat.

ps: I'm not a big fan of internet dating and as a result PoF is very low on my priority scale. If life gets busy, and it often does, I can end up going weeks at a time without logging in here. Oh, and please be local to Calgary; I've tried long-distance and it's not for me.

pps: My pics are all recent. The best pics are also the newest ones, and the oldest is the mountain picture--Oct '05. The goatee comes and goes (mostly goes), and my hair is usually short.
