I am fit, funny, well educated, know how to dress myself, speak clearly, usually know which fork to use and whose glass is whose at a formal table. I am gainfully employed, never been diagnosed with a mental disorder and believe I am a pretty normal guy. I also have been told by somebody other than my mother that I was cute, handsome, hot or good looking. Oh, I am humble too :) However, what I have found is that none of that seems to matter online. What is quite apparent to me is that I have no clue of what matters online and wonder if Internet dating just isn't for me? Yet still I persist, "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results". Yes, I know that is contrary to the stated lack of diagnoses above. Unfortunately I am online in spite of all that experience has shown me. My alternative to this futile quest is for the woman of my dreams to bump her grocery cart into me at the store and one of us to be injured enough to require assistance from the other long enough to establish a relationship. Hmmmm, yeah maybe the Internet is the way to go here.

So now I will try to get back on track and focus here…….I like to stay busy and I have a lot going on in my life. Unfortunately I miss having a woman to share it all with. So, if you are fit, active, speak clearly, and you like to do active things we might hit it off. I also like movies and books but have only seen one or two movies in the last year. Oh, I like to travel but haven’t done it much recently. I have traveled all over the UK, Stonehenge, Cambridge, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, London and some of Europe, Paris, Germany and in between, Puerto Rico, Mexico……Canada, (does Canada count as travel?) I’ve been to a fair number of US states, never to Idaho or Oregon though….missed Wisconsin too. None of that really matters except that I have an interest in going back some day or somewhere new but won’t likely do it by myself. That is where Internet dating comes back into play.

If I saved you into my favorites it is because I am interested in you and not just a voyeur. I may just not have had the nerve to message you yet. Oh BTW, if I send you a message and you respond you run the risk of being the first online date I ever pursued and accomplished. Online dating sucks. Oh well, no pain no gain. If you choose to ignore my messages I will work through it, good luck to you anyways. Maybe I will see you at the grocery store.

BTW, I have two jobs, one in the PA Air Guard, the other with the government. I have been in the military for 23yrs and w/ the govt for 15. I am well established and stable, always pay my bills and will never again pay somebody else's and expect to be paid back. If you didn't note it in my bio, I have children and I am widowed due to cancer.

I would prefer that it be a casual lunch but if we shared a mutual attraction I don't think the setting is terribly important.
