I know there are a lot of strong minded women out there... who maybe have unintentionally made us all seem a little mean. Give hope a chance guys!! :)

I am a lot of things, multi-dimensional and never defined by one thing. I am intelligent and independent, but still have some pretty conservative ideas about most things relevant to life in general. I am a firecracker at times, serious and sentimental when needed. I love to care about the people I care about, have fun and do new things. New things are my favorite! I have recently relocated from Wichita, but have lived in Kansas about 5 years now. I think Indy is a great place.

I am recently, I would say somewhat getting to know myself/tend to myself after many years of focusing on others. Not to say I don't still tend to others. That's a trait that doesn't wash away.

I try to be void of judgment of others, but I am not perfect. If I do, it is usually something I ponder, ingest for my own information.

When I am in a relationship I am excellent at thinking of that other person, a lot. My friends would say sometimes too much so.(Women!) However, I can also be a workaholic, which of course can take away from everyone in my life. I guess that can be true for anyone and the key is balancing that. Communication is also key. Someone telling me "hey, you're working too much and I miss you here..." would get loads of positive and corrective action from me, rather than the guy who yells at me cause I'm late with dinner. ;)

If I am within arms length of my "guy," chances are I'm touching him.

I can enjoy a healthy debate. I don't have to agree with anyone and can absorb it without taking it personally. I almost encourage some disagreement, because EVERYONE can learn from others.

I'll let you open the door for me, kill spiders, pump my gas.

I try to go to the gym or walk/run everyday. I love to cook, healthy and otherwise.

I drink, but not too much and usually only because I am out with friends, which will happen a lot less if/when I am hanging out at home more. It's rare for me to be "drunk." I am always able to drive myself home. I will have a glass of wine at home, but that's not about drinking. I do not smoke, have never, would never. I am an active Christian, BUT am very much not a recruiter, converter, etc. I was raised Atheist and know all too well that it is a personal choice. Because I have that split background, I am very curious about all religions including my own. I ask a lot of questions and encourage judgment free discussion so I can learn.

Pet Peeve: Bad parents. Negativity.

Interests: New things, movies, writing/reading/learning, scrapbooking, quilting, cooking, home stuff.

I am a writer by choice, not trade. So it's easy to get "talk" out of me, especially on paper. If you ever want to know more, just ask. I can always go dig up something I've written about me... or write something new. :)

I am from the West Coast, but the Midwest suits me. I am definitely a right brainer, creative, outside of the box kinda girl. I am all at once, old-fashioned and a little wild... figure that one out! :) I'm not sure about this online stuff, but these days, we're all so busy...

I am a single mom of a teenager. She is a sweetheart and only adds to the lives of those around her. She can be a firecracker...LOL

I'm looking for the normal stuff I guess. I'm looking for a strong, intelligent person, someone who makes me laugh, hates it when I cry and knows how to need and be needed all at once. I am most attracted to confidence, not to be confused with arrogance. Confidence and intelligence come in many forms and can be derived from more than books and buildings.

I see myself with a professional person, young at heart, mature in mind. A guy who owns a tie would be nice. I am totally great at letting a man be a man... sports, buddies, beer.... whatever. But a man is other things as well. Must love dogs.

I do not want someone who has to control everything, but can control some things. Someone who needs me and wants me, but is a man and knows what that means.

*** I have also taken the setting off where a smoker cannot contact me, because complete non-contact seems a little harsh to me. I generally don't date smokers, it messes with my senses... but maybe my Mr. Wonderful is out there trying to quit ya know? :)

Let me say this, I'm an old fashioned girl in many ways, so number one... I have to be "asked" on a date... not "wanna meet up?" not, "we should hang out." etc. Girls like to feel like you are really interested, motivated, agressive. Well, this girl anyway. Also, once you ask a girl on a date, take her on one! Don't make her plan it, etc. I understand asking her likes, dislikes, that's considerate, but then, be a man and take her out! I think a lot of men have been immasculated by women that want to make all the rules, be in charge, or something. Not me.
That being said...I am eager to get past the awkward phase, so the best dates are in quiet places where people can talk with ease, get to know eachother, ask questions, laugh. Put your cel phone away!!
I'm not worried about details. It's easy to spot someone interested in me and my ideas... so where we are is irrelevent. Coffee, dinner, whatever. I like to see how someone interacts, with waiters, friends, etc. Having some fancy, planned date is for an established couple, something a guy does for his "girlfriend," for reasons they have developed.
