Recently ended a very happy 15 year marriage. No anger and hate there. Ask, I'll explain. There was no fighting or cruelty in the break up. I have moved on and looking to find the right lady to spend the rest of my life with. I have a secure job. Three of them. But I'm not a workaholic. My number one interest in life is sailing and fishing. Imagine sailing off to the islands, grilling some fresh caught fish, drinking great wine, and watching the sun go down. Making love on the deck with nothing but the sound of the breeze and the waves lapping at the hull. Some quiet jazz in the background, falling asleep in the arms of the one you love.

When we're done with that, we sail off to Hawaii. No more coats, cold rain, snow, etc. Just warm breezes and warm water to scuba, snorkel and fish from.

I'm a little confused though, I see most of you are looking for just what I said here in my profile. But I keep hearing issues with age, distance, and I don't know what. If you narrow your search too far, you'll never find what you're looking for. And, you may miss someone who is PERFECT for you. I would go to New York to find the right partner. I don't care if you're 58 or 19. Where are you going to find a guy who likes to go shopping with you? Well, I'm right here.

So:
If you have kids, it's ok, if you don't, it's ok.
If you're older, it's ok, if you're younger, it's ok.
If you're skinny or a little over the love handle stage, it's ok.
I don't smoke, but it's ok if you do.
You have to drink some. I can handle a falling down drunk, but prefer that you have control of alcohol.
It's ok if you don't drink, but I think we would miss some social aspect, as well as some cool activities, and that doesn't mean barhopping or clubbing. More like wine tasting and wine tours.
Drug habits are kind of hard on relationships. I'm not a drug war prohibitionist, but choose not to use anything the Dr didn't prescribe. And, I don't want to watch someone I have grown fond of waste away at the Greybar Hotel. So this is my only real hard rule.
Anger and drama take away from passion and romance. I don't mind being there for the one I love, help that person work out the last few details. We need others to grow and move away from the past. What I won't do is live with hatred toward men for what other men have done. I won't be blamed or punished because the last guy you were with was abusive or a jerk or whatever. I'm me, and I don't do those things.
We have all made mistakes, that's how we learn. If you're not making mistakes, you're not doing ANYTHING! I'm interested in what we do from here on out, not what we did in the past. We are what we are today.

I'm not afraid to take a chance. I know a lot of women that I get along with as friends, but I'm not going to take it any further than that. I have plenty of opportunity to sleep around, but I refuse to cheapen the greatest thing that two people can share together. I watch the lives of a great many young people get trashed over wrong choices in partners. I hear that their love interests go to parties without them. I DON'T GET IT! If I'm with you I want to be with you. I don't want to go somewhere without you. I see them treated like trash. Why put up with it.

JUST SO YOU UNDERSTAND, I'M HERE, I'M LOOKING, AND LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO BE TREATED LIKE ANYTHING OTHER THAN A PRINCESS.

And, I expect to be treated like a KING! That's not a bad thing. It's a two way street. I'm going to treat you well, I expect the same. I'm not a trailer hitch, I'm not going to beg you for sex. Ever. Since I will give you the best sex you have ever had, I certainly will not put myself in the position of asking or begging. Women think that men are the horny old dogs, begging, in need, etc. Truth is, women are a hundred times more sexual than men. Your needs are off the chart. I can deal with that. I'm not falling for the bs that we need it more than you. We have no need compared to you. If you want to find the guy who understands all this and can work with it, I'm the guy.

And, while we're on the subject of age, there is a statistic that boggles the imagination: women in their 20's, 8 out of 10 believe that they will never find a soulmate. No wonder. Most of you are looking in the wrong age group. Soulmates are a rare breed. We slink around in dark places, hiding from the elusive young wench seeking that which eludes the great minds of romance and charm. Just look here, just experiment. Open your options and quit being so opinionated. Older guys can rock your world. You have no idea. I haven't found one 20 something woman who could keep up with me. I'm not bragging, most of you are falling asleep at 10pm. I need 4 hours sleep. You need days. Noon is early for you. I guess us old guys wear you out. I'm up at 4am most mornings, and I don't sleep until late. I figure there's time to sleep when you die.

Does this mean I seek an 18 year old? Not at all. I seek an equal. I don't seek with pre-determined ideas. I seek someone that I can stimulate, who can stimulate me. Don't make up preconceived ideas. It's a plan for failure.

Are you in Canada? No problem, but get rid of the must live in Canada restriction. We aren't all a bunch of phobic Americans. And quite honestly, we have more to give than the usual Canadian male(is this an oxymoron)! I'm a MAN. Not a metrosexual, not a soft whatever guy. I get doors and chairs for women. It doesn't make me soft, it makes me a Man.

Oh, it's been brought to my attention, my age is totally wrong. And, it can't be changed. I was hacked a while back. It was funny when my stats were changed to 5' and 400lbs. I had a laugh. My real age is 53. So, you know I'm not starting out on a dishonest note. I hate BS. But I can't change this. If it's a problem, well at least I'm up front with it.
