Well, what to say...I'm here looking, hopefully, for someone I can call my best friend to spend the rest of my life with-someone to do things with. I'm still thinking about going back to school. I was a nuclear power plant operator on the USS Texas when I was in the Navy, but that was 25 years ago. Still, it was the job I loved the most-except for being at sea all the time.
I was in a relationship for almost 19 years, and have two daughters from it. The oldest is attending SVSU and the youngest lives with me. Both are great kids-I am so proud of them! They both play/have played AYSO soccer, so I am sort of a "Soccer Dad". I attend all parent-teacher conferences.
I am looking for a fun, open-minded woman to go walking, bike riding, camping, tubing, canoeing or cuddling up with a movie. Tubing or canoeing on a hot summer afternoon is a great way to relax-so are weekend camping trips to Ocqueque Falls. Winter is my least favorite season, but that doesn't mean I stay inside all winter...lol.
I'm pretty fun, and get along with just about everybody. I'm pretty talkative and regularly talk with strangers on the street. Thirty years ago, I wouldn't think twice about having two Whoppers at Burger King-not anymore. I have been on a mostly healthy diet for the last decade, but that doesn't mean I don't eat any junk food...lol.
For about the last five years, I have been hauling scrap for a living, and have done it and work a regular job-I like working outside the most.
In the last two years, I have taken the bus out of state five times-to Missouri (twice), Alabama, North Carolina and Massechusettes, to bring back rust-free cars and trucks. I'm thinking about doing it some more, but this time to bring back cars/trucks to resell.
Probably the most fun I have had in the last few years is when we went to the four day Mountain Rock Festival in Farwell, MI. My daughters loved Def Leppard, Styx and REO Speedwagon. The same year I went to see Hinder, Papa Roach and Buckcherry. In '02 I saw Blue Oyster Cult, The Smithereens, Dokken, Warrant, Ratt, Firehouse and LA Guns at the Foxfest. '00, I went to the "Retro Tour" to see Wang Chung, Flock of Seagulls, Missing Persons and Kate Bush...(not a big fan of Kate; I lean more toward Toto, U2, Berlin, 'Til Tuedsay, The Motels, Missing Persons and Natalie Merchant/10,000 Maniacs. I recently went with my step-son to see Metallica at the Joe. I REALLY want to see Toto and U2 (although Toto is now broken up...but maybe they will get together for a tour...hoping). Toto is a fantastic group of musicians. Of late, Im into Three Days Grace, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback and Disturbed, but am open to many types of rock, dance, techno and house music.
I am easy going-with a hearty laugh and can be spontaneous. I have tried things like bowling and had a lot of fun. I like to go out from time to time, but am a homebody. I love to watch "2 1/2 Men", "The Big Bang Theory", "NCIS", "Criminal Minds", "Cold Case" and the CSI's. I'm tearful at movies like "Pretty Woman" & "Jerry Maquire". My favorite movies are "JFK" and "Blackhawk Down".
I am a touchy, feely person-just short of "get a room"...lol. I love tinkering with cars and am a very good handyman-I can fix just about anything. Although not infatuated with them, I do love motor vehicles, especially muscle-type cars and Caddys. I have a '72 Caddy Coupe and have an '84 Caddy Coupe street/strip car. I also drive a Chevy low-rider Dualie, and, in the winter, a Blazer.
I don't read books; I read articles in all kinds of magazines, from Car Craft to Cosmo.
