About Me
Hello you,
I am a 3D/VFX artist, working full-time in film. I am a Swiss-Canadian (Dual Citizen) and I have moved a lot in the past. Most recently I've lived in Vancouver and Austin, but now I am in Toronto with no plans to move anytime soon.
My sense of humor is often slightly dark, situational, perceptive and I suspect very straight-laced people would be offended by it which is why I tend to keep it to myself until I get to know the people I am with a bit better.
Staying in shape really requires no work for me so I don't spend much of my spare time working out or doing super active things. I'm more into laid-back activities, engaging conversation over a drink, exploring the city, going on a short road trip, movies, music, dining...
I know I said I'm a smoker, but I'm the really considerate, apologetic, self-loathing kind. Cutting back, totally house-broken, hopefully quitting some day soon.
I would like to find a muse, a partner in crime, someone with a sense of curiosity, open-mindedness and a kind heart for a long term relationship. Failing that I would like to meet some more interesting, inspiring, fun, easy going local folks to hang out with. It would be great if there was the possibility for more, but most importantly I need to meet some of my new neighbours.
update: I've been reading a lot of profiles here and wanted to offer some insights. This is not meant as a criticism, just trying to help. let your profile say something about you that stands apart from other profiles. So the following descriptions are probably not helping you much: 1- you love music 2- you love to travel, 3- you love to have a good time 4- you are looking for a guy wit a great sense of humor (as opposed to all the other women who are looking for dull witted boring guys) 5- you have cats 6- you can be silly, goofy at times 7- your friends and family are #1
There isn't anything wrong with any of those things, but from having read enough of these profiles I'm getting the feeling that these things are just part of what it means to be a woman. They don't really say anything about you personally.
Also, quite few women seem to make such a big fuss about spelling mistakes. I don't really know what that is all about but for some reason I have mixed feelings about it. That's your biggest pet peeve, really? I guess it sounds kind of elitist, petty and mean. But who am I to criticize if that's honesty how you feel about it...
First Date
I like to meet for the first time fairly quickly, without spending a lot of time emailing or talking on the phone. I find I have the most fun when there are no expectations and when you can just get to know each other over a drink or dinner rather than having told each other everything about ourselves over the net. I already spend most of my days on the computer for work, I really don't want to spend all my spare time on it more too.
