I have just moved from Ohio to Ft. Lauderdale...Pembroke Pines actually... I miss snow but it's nice to wear sandals all year!

I need to be around people who laugh and are intelligent.

I value a fondness for cats, especially a fondness for my cat.

I love music (especially live music, local-band style), film, humor... especially dark humor, and apple computers.

I like wine. Red wine preferably, but a white with seafoods..... yummy!

I like people who know who they are, and like to be around people who enhance them, not complete them.

I am not really looking to "date" necessarily, more along the lines of make new friends and meet new people, however if I meet someone I click with, I am definitely interested in seeing what happens. I would eventually like to be in a long term relationship, but am not actively looking for a boyfriend. These things tend to not work out well when you try to make it happen.

So:

I am looking for people to hang out with, show me around, I'm new!

Being new to Florida the very cliche "walk-on-the-beach-at-night" is still novelty for me. It's just cool!
We don't really have beaches in Ohio. (Lake Erie doesn't count. If you have ever been to lake Erie you'll know why.)

I love music and since I don't know any of the good bands to see yet, seeing a live show would be awesome. Know any good local bands?

I also really like to be outside at night. The Art-Walk in downtown Hollywood was a lot of fun, great people, lots of fun music, and my roommate found this great hole-in-the-wall (literally) bar that reminds me of a bar back home.

Or suggest something, I am pretty laid back and I seem to never get out of the house since I don't know anyone. That being said: perhaps you can rescue me from boring land!
