I REALLY believe that life is much better when you don't take yourself too seriously (um, see photos). I love to laugh, and make others do the same. The only catch is this: I can be pretty shy until I get to know someone.

Bummer.

I work in clinical research and I enjoy it (for the most part), so you can be assured I'm not an airhead and don't mind hard work (read: I'm not a helpless female).

I love to read: crime novels, forensics books, E.A.P., anything by David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Joe Hill, etc. Also been getting into graphic novels lately (as in, semi-comic-book format, not novels that are "graphic".) I could honestly spend my entire paycheck in a bookstore.

Horror movies are the way to my heart. Show me one that actually makes me sleep with the lights on, and you'll probably gain several points.

Currently listening to: The Smiths, Beloved, The Electric Soft Parade, Brandtson, The Cranberries, Fugazi, the 3 main "super" bands (-grass, -chunk, and -drag), Starflyer 59, Mogwai, etc etc.

I'm really close to my family, but they live 200 miles away, so I don't see them as often as I'd like.

When I can make myself not sleep in on Sundays, I go to Port City Community church. I love Jesus, and I think He loves everyone, regardless of who they are.

I'm looking for a guy who doesn't mind the fact that I'm not a Barbie, but I don't shop at Hefty Hideaway, either. He also shouldn't mind that I can sometimes have a kind of "Beavis and Butthead" sense of humor, like to listen to loud music, and can't really be easily defined.

I have no defined "type", but if you're really, REALLY into your car, hair gel, hunting, popping your collar, or talking about your ex-girlfriend, then we probably wouldn't be a good fit.

I truly love children and babies, but I don't want kids of my own. I don't mind if you have any, as long as you're a responsible father.
