Ohh dear, the description thing. These words can make or break my chances without even a face to face no-strings coffee first. I'll give it a shot and hope for the best though :)
I am currently living my dreams. I am past that part in life where I am striving to become "something" and am actually there. I have the career I want, live where I want etc ... I am happily employed, meaning that I don't come home wanting to vent about things that transpired during the day. I like my coworkers and the type of work I do. I am content.
I enjoy a good movie. The last one I saw was the new Indiana Jones flick. The critics were harsh on that movie, it kept my attention the whole way through despite what they warned me about.
Going out for dinner is always a favorite past time of mine as well. I'm a sucker for Italian, Chinese, Japanese, a good Steak ... well, just good food
I'm a Cal Bears and Oakland Raiders football fan.
Enjoy the occasional fishing outing. I've been out on the SF Bay for Salmon, Halibut and Rock Cod fishing as well as trout fishing on a local lake too.
Some of my music likes are (but not limited to): Journey, Rush, Led Zepplin, 3Doors Down, most 70's and 80's rock ... and of course Green Day!
Ahh, the first date question. The last first "date" I went on, I took my date to Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco and then over to the Tonga Room at the Fairmont hotel. I like doing a show and then dinner. Could be a movie or a play, then a nice restaurant, something above average with a cool atmosphere. I had known my date "for a short bit" and had hung out in groups with friends before, so I knew we could hang for a long evening like this.
Generally, for a very first meet, coffee or just a no-strings lunch on the weekend is a good thing. Just to break the ice to see if there is any interest to move along further.
