At the moment I am working on my Masters thesis in Anthropology at WSU. My field of study is actually zooarchaeology. I study animals in archaeological sites of the Plateau, which illustrate game selection by Native American hunters in the past. Once I finish my MA I plan on pursuing a PhD in Zoology. I have a passion for my career and want to find someone who is supportive of my goals.
I am a bit of a free spirit, I am highly independent. I do not expect or want a man to support me or take care of me. What I am looking for is a lover and best friend. Having grown up on a ranch in Western Montana, I am a bit of a tom boy. I drive a truck, prefer to go hiking rather than shopping (unless it is for sporting goods). I love animals and have a cat and an Australian Shepherd who is highly energetic. I spend a lot of time with my dog, kayaking, hiking and enjoying the general splendor of nature. I have recently taken up bouldering and find it exhilarating. I am a family person and enjoy spending time with my parents, sister and brother.
Things I dislike; people who are self centered (the world is not just about you), drivers on cell phones (hang up and drive), the color pink (I may be a girl but I am more of a blue chick myself), peppers (any of them), and sausage (don't ask cause I don't know why, I just don't like the taste, and smoking. Things I do like/enjoy; hiking a trail in the woods with no one else around, watching and identifying bird species, the splash of water as I tip my paddle in each stroke, quiet afternoons with a good book, roses (my favorite flower), the color blue, and my dog and cats.

The perfect first date would never be in a restaurant, movie theater, or any other crowded area. I would prefer an outdoor adventure, possibly kayaking, climbing or even a hike. Or maybe trying some new outdoor sport. Whatever it would be, I am game! I love to try new things, especially if they are fun.
